Extracts from Robert Fisk’s famously stupid commentary on Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, broadcast in April:
The issue really is, I think, is this a person who is seriously an enemy of the “West” or is this just another person who is popping up on our screens to say this is the latest mad lunatic, the latest fanatic, the latest terrorist whom we have to be concerned about? That is the real issue, you see.
Later, of course, Robert decided that we should be concerned:
I think these people are bad guys. OK, they are. There’s no doubt about it. They are bad guys.
Robert continued refining his “issue” theme:
You know, the issue is, are we in fact creating these creatures for ourselves to hate or are they creating themselves?
Later:
They want to create themselves and we help them create themselves. We help them do that. We help them do that.
In fact, coalition forces have helped do exactly the opposite.
(Initial Zark death post here)
- Great news.
NOT killing this maniac the first time in 2003, when the US had the chance, may prove to be a PR coup. Bush’s anemic poll numbers may regain a blood supply, not to mention provide a welcome distraction from attention on Haditha.
So now that Al Qaeda in Iraq has become a headless chicken, it will be interesting to see whether this makes any difference to the violence in Iraq.
Just as interesting will be to see what the coalition PR machine does without an insurgent/terrorist poster boy.
- This all sounds like a good description of how we would think about Fisk himself if we had been smoking too much:
10pm: “The issue really is, I think, is this Fisk a person who is seriously an enemy of the “West” or is this just another person who is popping up on our screens to say this is the latest mad lunatic, the latest fanatic whom we have to be concerned about? That is the real issue, you see.”
11:30pm: “I think Fisk and the Fiskies are bad guys. OK, they are. There’s no doubt about it. They are bad guys.”
1am: “You know, the issue is, are we in fact creating these creatures for ourselves to hate or are they creating themselves?”
2:30am: “They want to create themselves and we help them create themselves. We help them do that. We help them do that.”
3am: Vomiting.

Oh Lord, grant that they don’t bury him within the Koran’s proscribed time line. F*ck-eth him. Leave-eth the body in the street for thy dogs and amongst thou smallest crawly biting insects of Your creation. And, if there art 72 virgins waiting somewhere, may their nether regions hold razor blades.

- Damn, no more reports from the Zarqman? Iowahawk will have to find a replacement – perhaps Katie Couric?
I guess he really was “surrounded by idiots”. Blowed-up idiots, as it turns out. Score one for Team Satan!!

- Great news! And unlike #2, above, I mean it is truly great news, in and of itself, without qualification as to PR value, past, present and future, whether or not it leads to a reduction in violence, and however it affects or doesn’t affect George Bush’s poll numbers. Zarqawi was a bad man -before the war and during the war, and undoubtedly he would have been a bad man had he survived the war. The world is well rid of him, and I, for one, don’t give the merest damn how it plays out politically, PR-wise, or any other way. It is just retribution.

Those are excellent points. And it will also take away attention away from the Marty report revealing the TRUTH about about the US’s secret airborn gulag over Europe. Indeed I, I … I question the timing!
- The McHitlerBurton bastards! were hiding Zarqawi in the same spider hole where they stasged Saddam until Chimpy needed a poll boost!

Just as interesting will be to see what the coalition PR machine does without an insurgent/terrorist poster boyWhat does it matter? The world will ignore it and “not bat an eyelid” – just like you stated in an earlier thread, the Canadians are ignoring and not batting an eylid over the terror-arrest story in Toronto – today for instance The Globe and Mail is STILL ignoring the story on behalf of its readers with half of page 1,with follow-ups on pages 7, 9, 11, 12 and 13.
ROFL!
You are still a fuckwit, a liar and an apologist for terrorists.

- TOTAL bullshit alert!!!!
I just saw Nick Berg’s dad (the guy whose head farqawi cut off), who coincidentally looks like a total friggin fruitcake, on CNN just then saying today was a doubley sad day, because not only would farqawi have parents that would now be going through a grieving process like he did, but as he was a political figure, other members of his group could now go out and commit more acts of terror…
he saw no good coming from his death….
I mean what is it with some of these total f*ckwits??? and especially these parents of some of the slain over there…. i wonder if i could be locked in a room with this piece of sh*t and given some rubber hose, whether i could explain it to him????
- Hey Addamo!
You were thrilled when the corpses of American servicemen were being publicized. This should make you delirious. This time, with joy. Judging from your posts, you already were delirious.
P.S. How’s the news from darkest Canada? The Canadians who are in Canada want to know. After that, you can tell us about the portal that connects the West bank to Iraq.
Or perhaps you could explain how the death of someone who revelled in the deliberate deaths of children and wedding guests in Jordan means nothing more than a bounce in poll numbers? Could it be that your only concern is in how it plays politically, rather than in the fate of the Iraqi people, or the right to hold a wedding in Amman Jordan without being blown to bits?
Think about what your post means to the people who have lost children because Zarqawi ordered their deaths. To them, it means that he at least will never orchestrate another atrocity. To others, it’s cause for jubilant comments. To myself, another disagreeable but necesary task has been completed. Perhaps we’re closer to ending the fighting that is taking place in populated areas that causes casualties by its nature. To you, it means primarily that Bush might gain some sort of advantage.
How sad and pathetically small minded of you.

- Addamo represents the aborted result of conjugal visits between Nick Berg’s father and Monster Mother Cindy. How else to explain (his/hers) its dyspeptic concentration on poll numbers and PR rather than the removal of a threat to life liberty and happiness of the Iraqi people and to the survival of western democracy.
- Who ya gonna call? ZARKBUSTERS!
I’m just curious what symbol they’re going to authorize that F-16 jock to paint beneath his canopy?
