The Sydney Morning Herald’s Bernard Zuel considers fame:
You can get it singing, well or badly, on Australian Idol (and within a few weeks at least two more similar talent shows) or by being a poor restaurateur. You can get it by sleeping with someone who already has it. You can get it writing your thoughts in an online diary and posting it to the blogosphere where you are famous by dint of merely having an opinion.
You can’t get it by being Bernard Zuel, however.
