In 2002, The Age’s Michelle Grattan worried about offending Indonesia, among other Asian countries:
In today’s uncertain world, Asian countries are ultra-sensitive and Australia has to be ultra-careful how it puts things.
In 2006, Grattan seems a little less worried:
Good relations with Indonesia are extremely important. But one has to ask: how far should Australia be prepared to go for the sake of them?

- And why would Susilo want Australia to send Amanda Vanstone? According to Margo, she should have been gone from government in June 2005.
BTW, I wonder if Margo ever made good.
- Michelle’s position on Indonesia is dependent on whatever is critical of the Oz Govt. Her copy is already the verbal equivalent of valium, and being critical is the only thing she has.

It depends on how you define making good, but I think Margo always wanted victimhood, and as such, is doing very well thankyou.
