* Pre-enlightenment conservative Pat Robertson remains an idiot.

* Indonesia’s anti-terror squad, established with the help of Australian, British, and US terrorism experts, is known as Detachment 88. Within it is an elite squad called Tim Bom.

* Rugby is still permitted in many countries.

* Zimbabwe is in the midst of a sex for fuel crisis.

    1. Speaking of things we need to know, how was your party last night? Any union thugs show up to kick your arse?

    1. Roberston is reported to be in consultation with Hurrican Jim Wolcott on how to get a Cat 5 storm all the way inland to Pennsylvania…

    1. Although I still think he is an idiot. Robertson did not say that GOD will strike them down, he said if and when a calamity strikes Dover Pa.that they shouldn’t turn to GOD because they have rejected him.

This thinking of course disregards the people that voted to keep those 8 schoolboard members.

      What a asshat.

    1. I don’t know why people are so surprised at what Pat Robinson is saying.  He’s been saying this kind of krep ever since he became a preacher.  The man was, is, and always will be an ignorant fool, and it’s just one more black mark against the MSM that they keep reporting his spewings.

    1. RebeccaH, the leftwing considers Pat Robertson as a typical member of the right.  Whenever I engage in a debate on Tim Dunlop’s, I often get the Pat thing thrown at me.

(By the way, it’s not Pat Robinson that said that.  Pat Robinson cuts my hair.  She is very nice and does a much better job than the Floyd the Barber guy I used to go to.  My wife got tired of my hair looking like Floyd used a bowl to cut it, so she MADE ME go to a lady hair stylist.  A hair stylist!  But I will say Pat is very good.  And she doesn’t use a bowl either.  While it’s true I don’t look like Brad Pitt still, at least I no longer resemble Alfalfa).

Don’t forget this is the same clown who said a hurricane would strike Orlando because of Disney’s “gay days.” So he’s a firm believer in the “God is an egomaniacal, insecure killer” school of religion. I think what he’s saying here is even more offensive from a Christian theological standpoint, because standard Christian theology sez that God is willing to listen no matter how “bad” you’ve been.

This thinking of course disregards the people that voted to keep those 8 schoolboard members.

Well, I think most Biblical, God-sent disasters took the innocent with the guilty, so Pat’s not on shaky theological ground there.

I disagree. This assclown is the head of an influential, multimillion-dollar empire, and was a prominent candidate for the Republican presidential nomination. His retardisms are newsworthy.

    1. I would hardly describe Robertson as having been a “prominent candidate” for the presidential nomination.  Nobody but the liberal-leaning MSM, drooling at the thought of having a genuine mouth-breather for a Republican nominee, thought he had a snowball’s chance in hell of achieving the nomination.  That’s hardly prominent.

He’s all that and more.  He’s definitely the poster boy for the hazards of magical thinking.

    1. Pat Robertson?  Every Kos Kid knows the GOP is the Party of James Dobson—as in ““Danforth Rejects The Party of Dobson.”

Robertson is yesterday’s right-wing Christian zealot boogieman.  Maybe he misses all the attention.

As prominent – and as likely – as Jesse Jackson’s attempts for the Democratic nomination.

    1. Or Al Sharpton’s.

Despite their relatively limited appeal, Pat Robertson, Jerry Falwell and James Dobson are the GOP kingmakers in the minds of the Democrats and their syncophants in the media. By devoting enormous sums campaigning against them, the Democrats ignore the biggest segment of the GOP’s voting block, the average tax-paying middle class suburbanite, and haven’t won a nationally significant election since 1996.

In 1992 and ‘96 they courted the middle class with a perceived moderate/conservative and won.

That’s not a very Christian thing to say. Christians are supposed to pray that people who have turned away from God turn back to Him, not gloat when calamity strikes them (or express lubricious hopes for future calamity) and say “nah nah, you’d better not ask God for help, He never forgives!” But then I don’t think Robertson is much of a Christian.

    1. You say you’re supposed to be nice to the Episcopalians and the Presbyterians and the Methodists and this, that, and the other thing. Nonsense. I don’t have to be nice to the spirit of the Antichrist. I can love the people who hold false opinions but I don’t have to be nice to them.
      — Pat Robertson, The 700 Club television program, January 14, 1991

      Pat just doesn’t like splitters.

Of course I don’t agree with his thinking on this matter . I just don’t like to see a glaring misquote turn into a accepted “truth”. Re: plastic turkeys mission accomplished , et al.

They’re SYNCHRONIZED sycophants, yes, and when they suck up, they all do so on cue and in unison.  They make it look easy, but really it’s not.
