An old-fashioned youthsweep in Paris:

More than 200 police raided a neighborhood Monday in suburban Paris where a band of youths attacked riot police last week and seriously wounded one officer, reviving memories of the violence that raged in poor French suburbs last year.

Twelve people were detained in the early morning sweep in Corbeil-Essonnes south of the capital, the local prosecutor said.

Sweep on, Frenchies!

    1. Shall we begin the countdown to a widespread wail about backlash against innocent Muslims?

    1. The French eventually pulled out of Algeria, but that isn’t nearly as interesting as seeing how they’re going to pull out of France.

    1. It’s all still in the warm up, pre-game phase over in france.

You know full well the mussies aren’t serious until they invoke their right to take 1000 infidel for every one of theirs taken, bothered, insulted, looked at funny, or just in a mood that day.

    1. Oh, pronounced ‘youth-sweep’. I thought that it was ‘youths-weep’ at first and had visions of them singing “Don’t cry for me, Algeria” or something similar.

    1. Those stinkin’ Lutheran kids have just got to go, with their anoraks and that bingy-ingy-dingy way of speaking. Unassimilatable bastards.

Did they get the Verbal Kint or the Keyser Soze, this time around?

    1. No, no they’re Epicsopalians.

Seriously, the smug, self-satisfied elite of France is going to get a big shock,

Regal is a babe but establishment, so will win. However, Sakozy may do better than expected. If Le Pen will hand over power to his daughter (?),  then thwang…

    1. I guess the only solution to this youth problem is to kill everyone under 21.

    1. Wimpy,
I’m backing Sabine Herold as a dark horse candidate.  She’s even more of a babe than Regal.

If Sarko gets tough enough with the beurs and the general criminality in France a lot of the people who voted for Le Pen in 2002 might vote for him.  That plus the general Gaulliste vote might put him over the top.  It’s not like he’s going to drive people to vote Socialist by proposing to do anything sensible about the economy after all.
