Brett Lee and Jerry Lee.

    1. Tim: the first two links don’t seem to be working, unless it’s just my computer.

He does bloody resemble Jerry, though.

    1. The links don’t work for me at all on Foxfire. The links to the Jerry Lee Lewis pics work in Internet Explorer but the links to the Brett Lee jpgs don’t. I think it has something to do with the Freeweb site and the ads it has on it; I have all sorts of pop-up blocker stuff on. Oh well.

    1. Double trouble alright.o/t
intriguing little tidbit, print news article-last week.
      Radio Australia gets wrong man.
An investigation is under way in Fiji into why a junior officer impersonated the nation’s military chief in an interview on Australian radio.
Radio Australia THOUGHT it was conducting a phone interview with Commodore Frank Bainimarama but it was his personal staff officer.R.A. says the interviewee claimed to be(the big cahuna).
The commodore was quoted as saying it was a mistake.

    1. Re #7/8, it’s amazing how few people really know the military rank system.  I once stopped by a friend’s house after drill in uniform, and the (very serious) question posed to me was, “Wow, I knew you were in the Army, but you’re a captain?  Is that like being a general?”

      Absolutely horrific.

However, “great balls of fire” is very apt.Ask the Poms.

    1. Speaking of cricket and on sbs for “Special” people-that means cycling folks.Anyways at least until the Bicyclettes de France ends and the last wheel stops spinning.
Here is their unsporting and mean spirited summing up.“Lance Armstrong,he’s beaten cancer,he’s beaten DRUG ALLEGATIONS.So MISTER Armstrong,DO YOU HAVE IT IN YOU to win a seventh time?”
Its the old Bush Hitler,Kerry(touche, that’ll learn him to follow Armstrong 50 ks in a car for one stage)chimpy, plastic turkey CYCLIST FROM AMERICA.
However, they redeemed themselves with a promo for an upcoming three part programme.
“The WAR on Cocaine.”-Not SO CALLED but simply war. They’re allowed you see,to say it.
That sweet little rock’n’roller Le Lin Chen
whipped out a five minute segment on how American trailer parks are no longer trashy because some of them have MILLION dollar homes on wheels with MARBLE floors….and they do it to SAVE MONEY and maybe hopefully to cheat on their taxes and deprive the poor. She finished up with the biggest cheesiest(urgh) grin. Its a wonder her sour face didn’t crack.
Finally,Andrew Bolt gave slipperydope David Marr the BEST SERVE on Insiders this morning. He went for him like a pit bull terrior.Politely of course.I thought it might come to blows but Andrew’s not Davids’s type-a -guy.

      Politely of course.

    1. o/t When is someone going to mention the elephant in the living room?
It is a tragedy that the Brazilian non terrorist was shot at Stockwell underground station in the U.K.
In view of the shocking terrorist onslaught they are now struggling to defend themselves against, there are mitigating circumstances and it was a tragedy waiting to happen.
They are going to have to explain to non terrorist people- who- vault -safety barriers and run- away -for -whatever -reason from the plod….. not to.
Just stand still with your hands in the air.

    1. I don’t give rat’s arse where you live in the world, if a walloper with a gun is shouting at you to “Stop where you are” or “surrendez vous” or whatever, Blind Freddy knows that you stop where you are, keep your hands in view and give up.

No civil rights, amendments to the constitution, membership of the 666 tong or the KGB will stop that walloper from shooting you if you run away.

Not rocket science, and particularly relevant when suicide bombers are having a constant go at the local trains and 50+ people are dead because of it.

On ill-behaved defendants in court here in the US, we often use these things called shock belts.  They do exactly what they sound like they do.

If they aint gonna “behave” in society, and hold complete disregard, even contempt, for the law, what makes anyone think they will behave in court??

    1. That first pic of Jerry Lee looks like a cross between Richard Kiel (“Jaws” from the Bond movies) and John Kerry (“Chin” from my fevered nightmares).

re: Lance Armstrong. Let’s tote it up:

      1) Kicked cancer’s ass. Check.

      2) Seven-time winner of one of the most grueling athletic events in the world. Double check.

      3) Layin’ the pipe in Sheryl Crow. Triple check.

All I can say is – duuuuuuude.

read the SMH article on how the Muslim racists behaved in Court and the traumas the victims had to endure. its like being raped again and again!
And the Australian editorial today brings to the fore the inability of liberal Australian courts to deal wuth this kind if outrage, which is of course a form of terrorism from Muslims.

    1. Jeff,
Not just civvies mate. I was just a lowly Digger dressed in my Polys(dress uniform) on Course at the barracks one weekend when a mob of recruits were bumbling about nearby with their newly issued kit. My mates and I were on smoko, millimg about when we called one of the newbies over to ask him about some of his new issue. Poor bugger saw the uniforms braced up and stood at attention while we gave his kit the once over and seeing what was going on I then told him to “carry on” and he about-faced and marched off like a beaut.
Christ we laughed. Poor silly bastard.

    1. This great article by mark steyn in today’s Australian
..and WOW does he lay in to Andrew Jaspan !!
‘And yet, The Age’s editor Andrew Jaspan still lives in another world. You’ll recall that it was Jaspan who objected to the energy and conviction of certain freed Australian hostage, at least when it comes to disrespecting their captors: “I was, I have to say, shocked by Douglas Wood’s use of the ‘arsehole’ word, if I can put it like that, which I just thought was coarse and very ill-thought through … As I understand it, he was treated well there. He says he was fed every day, and as such to turn around and use that kind of language I think is just insensitive.”And heaven forbid we’re insensitive about terrorists. True, a blindfolded Wood had to listen to his jailers murder two of his colleagues ….’
ATTA’S attempt to get the US to finance his ‘crop dusting’ activities is a true gem example of multiculturism gone wacko!
