“The purpose of this list is to create a national (US) network of anarchists to organize a flag burning day.”

    1. From notes on Lord Vetinari (from the Discworld novels)

His genius lies in the realization that everyone craves stability even more than they hunger after justice or truth. Even revolutionary anarchists want stability, so that they have breathing space to fight their real enemies, i.e., those higher than themselves in the revolutionary anarchist council, and those heretics whose definition of revolutionary anarchy differs from their own by about half a sentence in paragraph 97 of the charter.

    1. Organized anarchists?  Isn’t that an oxymoron, like “jumbo shrimp” or “decednt Left” or “therapeutic abortion?”

    1. I predict there will be more people making comments right here than will sign up to become flag burners.

    1. You have to laugh at those who want anarchy though choose to protest within the bosom of a democratic country. They can always move to China and see what happens.

    1. Heh!  The organized anarchy in Oregon has gone nationwide.  You gotta love idiots for the entertainment value, if naught else.

    1. It’s necessary to burn the flag to remove the contamination from politicians who wrap themselves in it.

As long as you’re a small minority, you’re protected from being an anarchist who wraps himself in it, in the sense that it doesn’t normally come up.

    1. “maybe i will wrap myself in a flag and set myself on fire…..lol….just kidding. “

      Says corina zarkowski, flag burner.

      Well, it’s a good start.

    1. I respect the First Amendment right of anybody to burn my country’s flag.  I’ll even help them wrap it around their neck…

    1. I also must agree with Mark Steyn. It’s not like a burnt flag is going to bring down everything, we’re adults dammit.

Ban a symbol and it just gets that much more symbolic, the whole thing is stupid.

    1. If these anarchists really want to burn the flag, they could stand on an impact area waving it, and wait for the fast movers to drop some napalm.  That would be spectacular.
