A message from commenter RebeccaH’s husband:

She had a heart attack Thursday night. She says she over-reacted and deleted her email address, and she’s sorry if any notes to her are being returned. I have read messages from your site, which is her favorite. Her prognosis is good, and we hope to have her home very soon.

Fantastic news. We’ll keep your other home tidy while we await your return, Rebecca. Best wishes from all of us here.

    1. I’d say Rebecca’s understandable fear pales in comparison with the Guardian’s hysterical Lancet-math:

“Driven by a presidential election cycle, six years of building animosity in US politics has finally been focused on the lightning rod that is Iraq. After four years of war, perhaps more than 650,000 Iraqi dead, it has finally come to a single question of accounting: which of the two Iraqs is winning, the Iraq of death or an Iraq that looks to peace?”

650,000?!? It’s going to be a million in no time!

We need you back here in F_U_L_L C_A_M_O next year.

Word has it that THEY are going to draft either El Cid or Grimmy to run the Projecting Apocalyptic Conditions Optimizer.  Fine lads both but we can all agree that they lack your touch around a voting booth with that beast.

    1. particularly enjoy your contribution to this blog Rebecca! Very distressed to learn of your ill health. From all your friends here,  get well soon and please take care.
Leave news, politics and current affairs behind for a while and watch some soapies or something far less stressful. I had to learn that the hard way myself.
Believe me, although I haven’t had a heart attack or anything like that, I know people who have, and for most of them it was a life-changing event. The changes in priorities and lifestyle for these individuals were far more rewarding than they ever could have imagined. I hope it’s that way for you too 😉

    1. I think we were all concerned after the cryptic comment.

Mr H and family, please take care of our Rebecca. Can you set up the computer so that we hear from her soon? There’s definitely some RebeccaH snarkable stuff to comment on here at the moment.

    1. RebeccaH, you’ve been missed…my day is always nicer when I have your comments to look forward to. Looks like I’m not the only one who feels that way, not that I ever thought I was. You’re such an important part of this clan, it isn’t the same without you.

Get better soon, Darlin, we need you here!

(And thanks, Mr. RebeccaH, for the update)

    1. #103 The doctor may have had some trouble believing that RebeccaH needed time away from the chilli.

I convinced the poor guy otherwise.
