Blair’s Law is observed in France, reports the New York Sun:
Jean-Marie Le Pen’s National Front is poised to strike an alliance with France’s large immigrant Muslim community.
Sounds weird, but these groups are a natural fit:
The National Front is surprisingly popular among Muslim immigrants or second-generation Muslim citizens. For all its campaigning about immigration, Mr. Le Pen’s party has always extended support to Arab and Islamic causes abroad, from Saddam’s Iraq to Arafat’s or Hamas Palestine, and from Al Qaeda to Iran. The National Front has always been a coalition of two very distinct political families: Neofascists, like Mr. Le Pen himself, and traditional, Christian right-wingers.
Neofascists think Jews and Americans are the chief enemy, rather than Arabs and Muslims. In a way, they even tend to celebrate Arabs and Muslims as fellow fascists.
This follows a recent decline in support for Le Pen, who was oddly silent during last year’s Car-B-Q season. Turns out he may have spent that time re-positioning his party. (By the way, that definition of “neofascist” applies to any number of Australian leftoids. Perhaps it will catch on.)

Fellow fascists? Not really. The twisted kinship that has developed owes its existence to mutual anti-semitism, loathing of the United States, and the historical ‘auld alliance’ that the Nazis forged with so many Muslims (in Europe and the Middle East).
I very much doubt the Fuhrer’s victorious Germania would have long peacefully co-existed with the neighboring Caliphate.

- If Le Pen was “oddly silent during last year’s Car-B-Q season”, the French media black-out on him might have something do to with it:
“Le Pen claims that the French media marginalized him, even during the riots, though FN has made immigration the center of its platform. During a recent interview with me at his home, Le Pen said, “The politically correct forbids any link be established between immigration and the riots. Everybody knows it, but you can’t say it.” …
Le Pen denies he is any of the things his detractors call him, but he protests what he calls the censorship of his views by the French media. He tells me the French media spend more time talking about him than allowing him to speak for himself. During the rioting last fall, he says 50 foreign journalists interviewed him, but no French reporters.”
