Currency Lad addresses several commentators on issues involving Tony Abbott and Terri Schiavo.

    1. A sad cloud of sad sadness all around, with some bright spots which are also sad.

A zinger-hurling Thor is needed to clear it out.  I suppose, anyway.

    1. Goodbye this morning’s news items. Goodbye half-composed e-mails. I clicked on a ‘Currency Lad’ link and now Netspace must self destruct.

(something in the style sheets = lockup and force quit required)

As interesting as the Lad’s opinions are, links to his site really need a ‘Netscape Users Not Welcome’ disclaimer!

      🙁

    1. Thanks Tim. Sorry Kip. Some browsers seem to have real difficulties with my site but I really don’t know how to fix it. Thank you anyway.

    1. CL,

…sorry I came across all petulant (I guess at that precise moment I was). I actually do like your site, but the contortions I have to go through to view it!!

(I think the last time I selected: ‘download this link – html only’ and then read it in an html editor – which reminds me…)

    1. “All of a sudden Tony Abbot isn’t the man who gave away his own flesh and blood but – as seems more likely – was chosen by his old girlfriend because he was a better class of man and more likely to stand by her. Yes, that’s speculative but if there was more than one fellow involved within a timeframe of several weeks, a purposeful gravitation towards the one adjudged superior on some level seems a reasonable possibility.”

I think CL is being a little harsh. I get the impression that his girlfriend genuinely thought he was the father of the child, and the fact that he wasn’t came as a surprise to both of them.

I’d be more than happy for anyone to offer a quote to prove me wrong. Everyone loves an Evil Scheming Woman story. But until then I’d like to give her the benefit of the doubt.

I wouldn’t extend the same offer to the letter writers in today’s Australian, however. The words of a more vile, snide, hate-filled group of people have rarely been assembled on a single page.

    1. Netscape 4.0, automatically load images OFF, javascript OFF, is immune.  It’s the way to read everything, in fact.

    1. The vicious bile at ausculture really took me aback. How can anyone be so vituperative.
Methinks it’s to cover up the all round embarrasment that the moral relativists must feel about deliberately choosing moral NON-relativism just to attack Tony Abbott. I am really starting to lose my cool with the left-wing psuedo intellectual rants that pass for comment
