Katie Couric gets the reverse Reuters treatment, whereby an image is made to look better.

1. After Perky Katie basically admitted that CBS was going to continue to spin the news (“we’ll tell you what it means”), I guess the real test of whether or not the blogosphere is having an effect on “truthiness” will be seen in her ratings….

   I have found the CBS promotion of Katie the most obvious, over-blown, insecure act I’ve seen in ages— and never with a news reporter.  Of course, she isn’t a news reporter, so I guess it’s okay.

1. The whole image has just been squeezed horizontally, have a look at the background. This sort of thing is apparently the norm in the (particularly womens’) print media.

   Personally I reckon our Aussie queen of grotesque facial manipulation is Tracy Grimshaw. I’m sure there’s been a side of beef injected into each revolting lip.

1. Katie is a beauty in any shape, it’s unfortunate that Publishers re-shape her to suit their publications image etc….

   Also, don’t be dumb, don’t smoke.

   Re: Tracy Grimshaw is lovely, HOWEVER, who ever is her stylist needs to re-think Tracy’s outfits she matches the background and there is no shape to her suits.

1. I don’t see what the issue is here. From day one, Katie Couric was known as a talentless, clueless, thoughtless idiot and had no value other than a “pretty” face.

   She was an overt and upfront “ratings” choice.

   So, since she’s little more than a biological manikin, why not make her at least appear presentable?
