Hugo Chavez in New York, 2006:

Yesterday, ladies and gentlemen, from this rostrum, the president of the United States, the gentleman to whom I refer as the devil, came here, talking as if he owned the world. Truly. As the owner of the world.

I think we could call a psychiatrist to analyze yesterday’s statement made by the president of the United States. As the spokesman of imperialism, he came to share his nostrums, to try to preserve the current pattern of domination, exploitation and pillage of the peoples of the world.

And Hugo’s latest idea:

President Hugo Chavez said Sunday that foreigners who publicly criticize him or his government while visiting Venezuela will be expelled from the country.

    1. I suppose one ought to be glad that he will only toss you out of the country if you displease him.  I wonder how long it will be before that changes to imprisonment.

Of course, he doesn’t need to be so…er…diplomatic with his own people.  He can just imprison them without all the hoopla.

These guys are always the same, aren’t they.  They follow the same pattern every time.  How long before the world catches on and stops letting them get away with it?

    1. Agreed -nothing but a fat ugly piece of pigshit…… but he is sitting on a bigshit pot of oil. And HE OWNS IT!!!  Forget any dreaming about sending in the Marines -won’t happen.

One thing all true conservatives should be doing is trying everything we can to get the petroleum monkey off our back.
I, like many others, would rather have a Hummer than a Corolla -but I know the black stuff aint going to be any cheaper than it is now.
I don’t know of too many oil owners who are friends of western pluralist democracy.

Sorry, forgot our good mates the saudis!!

    1. Old mate Hugo’s finished chapter 1 of the Dictator’s Handbook. Not long now until he gets to chapter 4, about exterminating your enemies, and chapter 7, about world domination. Chapter 10’s better, though. That’s when everybody else hits back.

I think Howard should try this. No more Fisk, Sheehan, assorted invitees of ‘their’ ABC and Fairfax, Pilger etc.

This concept has merit. Let’s workshop it….

I suspect it will not be long before foreigners will not be permitted to enter Venezuela.

Especially those who are inclined to tell the truth about the worlds latest up and coming dictator and the disaster he is in the process of creating.

    1. #5 kae, One can only imagine what will happen to locals who do not want to play Hugo’s socialist game.

From Stalin to Saddam to Mugabe there have been millions of “missing” people.

Hugo’s hero Fidel has no doubt disposed of his fair share of dissidents.

I agree completely, your Dictatorship, Sir.

Unfortunately you just did the same thing. OH, Cindy wants you again. I’m sure the two of you will be very happy in Zimbabwe. I can just see it now, happy as all get out, in your lovely little mud thatch hut.

    1. Mark my word, this lunatic will one day wind up decking himself out in a comic-opera field marshall’s uniform (complete with cocked hat and ostrich plume), watching executions on closed-circuit television while he munches his breakfast egg, and end by being assassinated at the hands of some skittish senior officer apprehensive about his own chances in the next purge.

    1. #16 Thanks for the information. It is truly horrible.

As I suggested, no-one will ever know the full extent of such atrocities under these pathetic dictatorships. Dictatorships and abhorrent regimes which are so often worshipped by so many on the left of Australian politics.
