Who was the mystery Australian journalist mentioned in yesterday’s New York Daily News? None other than Paul McGeough, according to impeccable sources. Brawlin’ Paul seems intent on beginning a civil war with his fellow Aussies.

(Also, the incident took place some months ago, McGeough isn’t a News Corp journalist, and the photograph showed Ken Chandler instead of Colin Myler. Apart from that, great work, Daily News!)

    1. By the way, are these unimpeachable documents? If not, contact Karl Rove for the original memos as proof.

    1. OT:

A “respected tribal elder” is going to jail for only one month for raping a 14-year-old girl and beating her up. The sentence was this minimal as the offender “wasn’t aware” it was against the law to do what he did, citing “traditional” law instead.

Not in Pakistan. In the Northern Territory, Australia.

    1. Actually McGeough reports on Afghanistan at the moment, and has recently brought us the scoop that Mrs bahktieri is actually Afghani (and he later concedes, btw, she holds a pakistani passport, and they suspect the husband actually is pakistani – but these are not the point!!!!).  This will be on media watch next week for sure, mainly because News corp journos trawled through Afghanistan and reckoned that the family wasn’t Afghan a couple of years ago.  Otherwise Lizzie wouldn’t bother.

    1. Andjam yeah we know and thought the case was being reviewed.Oz news said that the indigenous “law” must now always defer to mainstream law.,according to attorney general in N.T. Otherwise we could end up with horrific religious laws from particular fundamentalist non western religions.Already one person has been promoting such a cause in one Australian state, has had a lot of coverage in state newspaper.

    1. It can’t be McGeough because he’s not Australian.Maybe the Daily News meant “mystery Irish journalist”.McGeough has stated he would not seek Australian citizenship until John Howard joined the Labor party or something equally stupid and until whatever the loony demand he made was met he would continue to travel on his Irish passport.
