It didn’t work last time, so they’re trying it again:

I also understand that the “Not Happy John” campaign will also be run again in Bennelong …

In fact, the No Thappy movement plans to still be active in 2055.

    1. Maybe our troll is a time-travelling visitor from that apocalyptic “Margo Kingston rules all” future…I can see how that’d make a guy worry about environmental damage. Emphasis on the “mental” part.

    1. ‘You’d like to give the Media Moguls control of ALL our news’.. you mean they don’t have total control already?  It seems the SMH has already picked it’s winner in NSW… how much more pain do NSW’men have to suffer until they switch camps?  Quite a lot it would seem..

She’s just so…so stupid.  And mean-spirited.  And can’t write worth a damn.  Other than that, I can’t stand her.

    1. I learned of an interesting election rort yesterday. Here in Newcastle Jodi McKay, a celebrity parachute ALP candidate, has been mailing information to voters (4 in our household) with provision to register as postal voters for the March 24 NSW election and send the papers to her ALP mailbag. We will be lost in translation on March 24, so I checked with the electoral office about the vaidity of these forms. Apparently forms returned to a candidate’s official address constitute a vote for said candidate, whereas forms issued by the electoral office and returned there are counted as independent votes.

Labor seems to know all the electoral wrinkles, including “vote early, vote often” and “who died last week?”

    1. The scene:  a quiet meadow on a sunny day.  Birds chirp in the surrounding trees as a gentle breeze whispers through the grass.  Suddenly, off in the distance someone shouts…

      TROLL!

Immediately a long-haired figure in tie-dyed T-shirt, tinfoil hat and cloud of patchouli is flung through the air, trailing behind him a jumbled mass of phrases, of which only a few marginally coherent bits and pieces can be made out, most of them unprintable in polite company.  At the apex of his flight, a shot rings out in the distance, sending assorted hippie pieces flying in several directions at once.  Somewhere, off in the distance, the smiling figure of Andrea Harris can undoubtedly be found crouched behind a now smoking shotgun.  You note that the troll response has been surprisingly rapid today, and decide that you’d probably be better off finding a different path through the clearing.

i]The trade unions at Czech Television are calling on some of the station’s top management, including general director Jiri Janecek, and most members of the Czech Television Council to resign. The trade
unions say the management has been breaking the law for several years by allowing Frantisek Lambert to be programming director even though he had been a member of the pre-1989 Communist Party’s armed force, the
      People’s Militia.
