England isn’t exactly blasting Ireland out of the World Cup; just 201 after 45 overs. Should amass a winning total, though.

In more crucial sporting news, Kevin Bartlett has returned to Richmond. I know people (yo, Bryan!) who will weep with joy about this.

    1. Paco lives in Richmond.  Should we start connecting dots here or what?

    1. Bartlett’s boycott always struck me as an exceedingly petty thing; glad he’s got over it.

To be a football coach is to be sacked; it’s just a matter of time.

    1. Jeez this man could hold a grudge. Seriously though welcome back KB. Listen here to arguably the best AFL club song of all, right up there with the Notre Dame fight song (which has also been used by the Sydney Swans for their song).

    1. We delivered shipped our prototypes today, so I could afford a little luxury of following the score.

I think the cric-info reporter summed it up quite nicely. I particularly liked his comments on the joy from the England side when slow scoring Bell was out (can’t find it now).

    1. I saw ‘Hungry’ demolish Collingwood in the 1980 Grand Final, what an unassuming champion he was.

Hopefully the Blues will give it to the Tiges this weekend.

    1. As Ultravox put it in Vienna – ‘This means nothing to meeeee…’

Not that I care, but if I had to go for any Tigers it would be these ones, and even then I’d prefer the old Wests Magpies part of their ancestry. (Look very closely at their jersey and you’ll se a tiny magpie.)

    1. What makes this year different to many others? Apart from why Bartlett wasn’t greeted by a standing ovation at EVERY OTHER Tommy Hafey Club luncheon he has attended for the last 15 years.

    1. Kev had better hope Richmond doesn’t have too many Pakistani supporters.
