An outbreak of Presbyterianism is put down in Germany:
Three men have been arrested for planning attacks on Frankfurt’s international airport and the U.S. military base in Ramstein, the German Defense Minister said Wednesday.
“There was an imminent threat,” Franz Josef Jung told Germany’s ARD broadcaster. He declined to elaborate.
Two of the suspects had German citizenship while the third was Pakistani, Germany’s Sudwestrundfunk public broadcaster said.
Associated Press helpfully explains the root cause of any planned attack:
Germany, which did not send troops to Iraq, has largely been spared terrorist attacks like the train and subway bombings in Madrid and London – although its involvement in the attempt to stabilize Afghanistan against Islamic insurgents has led to fears it may be targeted.
Go to hell. Meanwhile, just over the border:
Denmark’s intelligence service arrested eight Islamic militants linked to leading al Qaeda figures in anti-terror raids in the Danish capital, according to the head of the agency.
The men, between ages 19 and 29, were suspected of preparing a terror act involving explosives, said Jakob Scharf, the head of Denmark’s PET intelligence service …
“With the arrests we have prevented a terror attack,” Scharf told reporters at a news conference.
Six of those arrested are Danish citizens. In Canada, accused terrorists face trial thanks to the work of an Islamic informant:
Mubin Shaikh meanwhile has no doubts he did the right thing: “I was born and raised in Toronto,” he said. “How could I let anything happen here?”
Certain of his co-religionists – citizens of the countries they are accused of plotting against – evidently don’t share Mubin’s loyalty.

UPDATE. Also in Germany:
Police in Bremen, Germany, raided an apartment recently not to arrest any terrorists but rather to prevent two of its occupants from being terrorized by another form of barbarism: female genital mutilation. In what has been described as “a first” by a German women’s organization, authorities in the northern, port city were able to intervene and thwart a planned, female circumcision of two girls aged one and four. The infants, taken into state care, were to have undergone the horrifying procedure in their 25-year-old mother’s native country of Gambia at a female circumcision ritual.
Consider this a form of loud denunciation.
