All the millions invested in state-of-the-art car ashtray technology would be wasted if Senator Meddlesome Crone has her way:
Smoking in cars should be made illegal, the leader of the Australian Democrats said today.
Senator Lyn Allison said the ban would reduce bushfires, littering, accidents and cancer.
What about all the accidents that would be caused by people frantically trying to hide their cigarettes when a police car drove by? Or the fires caused by people throwing their cigarettes out of the window before they’re apprehended? Would passengers be allowed to smoke under this cruel law? The Democrats should re-install their former leader, who at least gave less of an impression that he wanted people to point at him and laugh.
