Egad! Australian Prime Minister John Howard joins the Paul McGeough Iraqi civil war chorus:
“I think the most likely scenario for a civil war in Iraq would be a premature withdrawal of coalition forces,” he said on Channel 9 yesterday.
Well, he’s not really joining the chorus; Howard seems to be turning the civil war argument against its proponents:
“If anybody is worried about a civil war in Iraq, then they should look again at a policy which is all the time talking about setting a date for withdrawal of foreign forces.”
