He’s suffered dental shame and underpants indignity. And now some vulgar fellow has grabbed Saddam’s arm:

Khalil Dulaimi, the only lawyer for Saddam in the room at the time of the hearing, said a man named Tahseen, whom he believed was a reserve investigative judge, grabbed Saddam’s arm and tried to attack him.

“As Saddam Hussein’s lawyer and on behalf of all the defence team, we announce the boycott of the Iraqi Special Tribunal until they make a formal apology for the incident and the person who committed that disgraceful act is brought to justice,” Mr Dulaimi said.

If Dulaimi got through that with a straight face he should review his Botox use.

      Wonder how he’d like it if I grabbed his right arm with mine and shook it vigorously.

      An arm-grab requires the objective case.

    1. Saddam should be thankful that the”alleged assailant” only grabbed his arm and not his nuts and then pulled them out by the roots.

      Gotta love lawyers (all over the world, the same BS)

    1. I always thought they should have stood the scumbag against the nearest wall as soon as they pulled him out of his personal sewer.

      I trust the trial will focus on some simple, easily proven cases.  However satisfying it may be to stick hundreds of thousands of deaths on Saddam, deservedly so, you can only kill him once.  Leave that to the historians.  Even under Saddam murder must have been a crime in Iraq.  Pin one murder on him, one his Johnny Cochran wannabe lawyers can’t impugn, and execute him for that.  That’s the most important thing, making sure the slimy weasel can’t beat the rap.  All else is gravy.

    1. They’re boycotting?  In other words, Saddam now has the exact same legal defense he afforded all his victims, right?

      Works for me.

    1. I’ve listened to the South Park movie soundtrack and I think I’ve uncovered Saddam’s defence strategy. It goes something like this;
      I can change , I can change, I know I’ve been a sandy little butt hole but if you give me a chance I know I can kick the devil out of me.

    1. #5 crash, the take on John Howard using Janette as a decoy is something they picked up from the Cage on the radio last week.

      Brigitte Duclos was talking about JH getting an award for bravery for his surprise visit to Iraq. She then realised that for several hours, his wife had been left sitting in the airfield awaiting his return.

      That led to a declaration that Janette was the one who was brave and self-sacrificing, while John was a bit of a ratbag for using her as a decoy. He could have at least allowed her to go shopping.

      It was actually very funny, and there wasn’t any of the lefty JH headkicking I was waiting for. I can’t find a transcript of this online, sorry.

      I turned off the teev before the Glasshouse, as I can’t stand Dave Hughes. He is a good candidate for a headkicking himself. He is whiny and NOT FUNNY.
