On the Obama death fantasies, Stefan Fredriksson emails:

Isn’t it weird that the left’s favourite democratic nation (obviously plenty of people on the left also love Fidel Castro II, also known as Hugo Chavez, but you would have to be retarde – sorry, ON THE LEFT to consider Hugo’s Venezuela a democracy), the home of peace, love and understanding, the home of non-violence and a nation of less than 10 million people has had two of its most popular politicians (Olof Palme and Anna Lindh) assassinated since 1985.

Both of them were on the left, so they must have been killed by right-wing lunatics, right? Well, no.

Anna Lindh, who was killed in 2003, was killed because she, get this, SUPPORTED the US (and NATO) military campaign against Serbia. And Olaf Palme, who was assassinated in 1986 – who killed him? The police are still on the case, so we should get the information any minute now. The main suspect – a hardcore drinker named Christer Pettersson – died three years ago.

I trust Phillip Adams to be consistent and that he writes a column when it’s time for the 2010 general elections here in Sweden. A conclusion that goes something like this will do: “Let us hope that maniacal alcoholics and Serbian racists in Sweden do not exact a terrible vengeance.”

With kind regards,

Stefan Fredriksson
Halmstad, Sweden

    1. I dunno… my first thought of the “home of non-violence” was India, and they’ve never had a politician assassinated.

      Wait… what?

      Oh, my bad.

    1. In the old Soviet, no politician ever got assassinated. Some got executed but that’s a whole other sort of thing. It’s even spelled different.

    1. What a beautifully orchestrated, cunning stunt. (I did say that correctly, didn’t I?)

Should anything happen to The Messiah, it is preset in the minds of “useful idiots”, that the RWDB is the cause.

There still are those out there that know for fact, Lee Harvey Oswald was a double agent (as Jack Ruby was) of what was then, a reasonably decent, CIA.

Must I put a tag on the above?

    1. RIP, Bill Buckley.

Not only did he effectively purge American Conservatism of racists and crackpots, he basically founded the modern Conservative movement in America.

    1. Odd bit of trivia: on the morning of his assassination, Palme is alleged to have had a meeting with none other than Baghdad Bob, Muhammad Saeed al-Sahhaf, who was then Iraq’s ambassador to Sweden.

      Small world.

    1. There aughta be a law. This law should state that any foreign devil place that allows it’s devily barbarian type folk to yammer about killing one of our candidates should be re-designated as a nuklar test range.

We do need to make sure them rocket things go where we aim em. Need some long range shoots to test out all that theory stuff.

    1. It’s useless to criticise Phillip Adams.  He’s totally immune from inside the ABC, and ignores even the most serious journalistic criticism from anywhere else.
You might say he’s been too old to change for a while -since he was about 16.

      Well said!

But Adams won’t, of course. He developed his ideas at the age of 8 and even then thought them so good he never bothered to change.

Phatty’s continually ignoring such reports, also.
Prolly when warming ‘denialists’ are the majority, he’ll acknowledge it, but simply label it ‘man-made climate change’ (per wifey’s coalition) and merrily continue to bash the (local) coal industry, Pat Phatt’s pet hate …

    1. Adams’ silly claims continue to unravel. Not that he cares. Adams is the glutton in Monty Python’s Meaning of Life, both literally and figuratively.

    1. I just don’t think it is fair.  We rarely have any death threats against political figures down here in Oz.  I mean, naturally everybody loves Saint Kevin of the back seat, but where is the strident vitriol, where is the gnashing of teeth, the strident threats and abject hate?  I tell you, we are much the poorer for it.  How do we know who to lionise if people aren’t being threatened with death? Bloody hell, we may actually have to start something if we are going to catch up with the rest of the world.

    1. Other news of death threats and such…
      NIS News.

AMSTERDAM, 28/02/08 – The terrorist network Al-Qaeda has given orders for the assassination of MP Geert Wilders, newspaper De Telegraaf reports. The Party for Freedom (PVV) leader must be ‘slaughtered’, the orders say, because he has insulted Islam and the prophet Mohammed.

The newspaper based its report on a recent message on a protected web forum of internet site al-ekhlaas.net, which De Telegraaf claims is affiliated with Al-Qaeda. The internet threat, which was posted on 28 January, was intercepted by the American research institute SITE Intelligence Group, the newspaper reports.

“In the name of Allah, we ask you to bring us the neck of this unbeliever who insults Islam and the Muslims and ridicules the prophet Mohammed,” the site says about Wilders, according to the newspaper.

The message honours Mohammed Bouyeri as a hero. This Amsterdam-born Moroccan Muslim cut Islam-critic Theo van Gogh’s throat on 2 November 2004. The message also appeals for readers to “terrorise” the Netherlands to prevent Wilders’ controversial film on the Koran from being broadcast.

Donno, didn’t write it. It’s a Dutch source that publishes in both Dutch and English and such sources tend to be a little fiddly in language usage. Also, I have no clue on that source’s track record or reliability.
