- Tim, would your title by any chance be alluding to Rob Long’s “The Long View” in the National Review Online of 18th December (sorry people, subscribers only)? In the spoof article the Al-Jazeera talk show interviews several commentators among whom is Fatima Kourizad, columnist for the Yemen Mountain Daily News (in a burqa I presume) whose comments are transcribed as:
“Mmmmgrmmpppp. Smthd grp brrmmm prpp.”

the beeb is reporting the ethiopian army have evidence of british citizens fighting with the union of islamic courts forces
given the situation on the ground there it seems theyre putting up as much of a fight as HMs ashes team
