Commenters here and elsewhere have asked if Greens senator Bob Brown has remarked on the death of Steve Irwin. For the record, he has, and very nicely:
“Australia owes him a lot and his legacy will go on through his foundation and through the protection forever of wild places in this country and elsewhere around the world,” Senator Brown said [yesterday] morning.
“What a bonza person. What a great guy. What a tragedy for his family.”
What a note-perfect obit.
