Globl waming is bad news for crops, apparently:

• Crops face extinction in global warming
• Global warming over the past quarter century has led to a fall in the yield of some of the most important food crops in the world …
So it’s a surprise to find this, buried seven paragraphs deep in an AFP report:
World cereal production is forecast to increase by 4.3 percent to a record two billion tonnes, the Rome-based [UN food] agency said.
