      Procedure: Engender panic

      Defined end-state: Prez Al!

    1. At first I thought the Gore Effect was a joker’s figment, but as we have seen again and again (remember the blasts of cold across the USA around Oscars time?) the Gore Effect is very real.

Gore Effect denialists must be shunted aside and legislation should be considered in order to make it an offense for them to open their fat traps. Not freedom, not checks & balances, but instead the Gore Effect, must become the central organizing principle for civilization.

I don’t think this is reason for mirth (failed suicide bombings are another matter) but this quote tests it to the limit:

Village mayor Ziad Abu Thabet said 70 per cent of the village’s mostly ramshackle homes had been buried in raw sewage.

“The situation is very bad,” the mayor said.
