The mineral-detection abilities of Traceeee’s mouth are called into question.
Now I know why Traceeeeeee’s crazy. It’s because she’s drinking seawater:
Q&A 7. Is it safe to drink salt water? If so, in what quantities and in what proportions to fresh water?
Salt water (i.e., seawater) contains about 10.56 grams of sodium per liter. The human kidney can eliminate only about 3 grams per liter of sodium in urine. To rid the body of the excess sodium would require the kidneys to excrete three times as much water as was ingested. Clearly, this leads to rapid desiccation, hemoconcentration, increased blood viscosity, and serious, often fatal, osmotic consequences. In short-do not drink seawater!
You know we tend to tease geologists in the mining game by calling them “rock lickers”. Tracees taking it a step to far.

I could see you in my goggles.
Tracee, any self-respecting snorkeller, diver, free-diver uses masks, not goggles.
Biggles used goggles. Doubtless you flap around in flippers.
Hey, I just noticed in producing this post, I googled Biggles for Goggles

- The Rhyme of the Ancient Blairiner
Water, water, every where,
And all the boards did shrink;
Water, water, every where,
Nor any drop to drink.
The very deep did rot: O Christ!
That ever this should Traceee be!
Yea, slimy things did crawl with legs
Upon the slimy sea.About, about, in reel and rout
The death-fires danced at night;
The water, like a witch’s oils,
Burnt green, and blue and trite.Posted by andycanuck on 2008 02 27 at 01:07 AM • permalink
That’s because there are no minerals in protein.
