Vanity Fair’s James Wolcott must be dancing in the street:
A tornado warning for two areas of New York City — the Bronx and northern Queens — was posted by the service late in the morning as thunderstorms moved through the metropolitan area, but it was not immediately known if any funnel clouds actually developed or touched down.
