Former Melbourne Age editor Michael Gawenda, now based in the US, talks Bush down:

… the President, despite his clear if narrow victory in November, has a 43 per cent approval rating, the lowest for any re-elected president in the past 60 years …

Wrong. Bush’s disapproval is running at 43%; his approval is somewhat higher.

    1. 1.  One expects a journalist to be a newshound, but maybe thats just a prejudice.  Does it really matter that Gawenda is out of touch with that crystal ball which we call the World of Facts?

      2. Okay, so Gawenda screwed up. But what about the bigger Gawenda-picture?  Perhaps his error, on the bright side, represents an improvement over some sort of past mega-errors committed by him as an editor.  But nobody wants to look for the bright side any more.  Leave the bright side for the dimwits, they snicker guffaw chortle.

    1. It doesn’t matter if the facts are wrong, what matters here is the important issues raised by those lies!

    1. OT, but Latham’s just stepped down. Health reasons?

    1. It’s not the nature of the evidence, but the seriousness of the charge that matters.  Ask any moonbat.

    1. The Age factor just won’t wash off. It’s not the story, it’s how you tell it that matters.

    1. It’s The Age fergawdzakes, they have different truths.

Ah yes, legions of the differently-truthed will be in evidence in DC tommorow. (or later today, for those on the other side of the International Date Line…)

    1. But of course, Pedro. Any erroneous claim/analysis/prediction can be made to fit.

  1. Critical mass of such foolishness approaches ever closer.

It occurs to me that George W. Bush will be (is) the rock upon which the International Left and their media travellers will break themselves.
