    1. This is only a minor setback to our overall plans, Tim. It is not too late for us to launch a takeover bid of the award winning internet site, Webdiary.

With my managerial nouse, and with your endless supplies of both funds and hard work, I honestly cannot see how I can go wrong…

No, John Lehmann is actually the son of actress Val Lehmann (Queen Bea) and Lizzy Birdsworth from the 80’s drama Prisoner. Do not mess with him around the steam press.

    1. Condolences Tim.

I’m a real fan of the Bully and am happy though extremely surprised it is still produced considering it’s very low circulation.

Anyone who doesn’t subscribe, I’d recommend doing so as it’s a high quality mag – except for the back page of course;)

      1) ask them to check all your spelling and grammar properly

      2) insist they fix your plageurism and factual errors.

Always appreciate a good belly laugh in the evening.

    1. Wow Daphne, this is the biggest story since Watergate.

Some bizarre example of a plural/singular conflation, and a passage that allows you to ride the old “all Palestinian’s are suicide bombers” hobby horse.  Powerful stuff.

Antony is most certainly a mummy’s boy, but your “critique” is pathetic.

    1. Daphne, did Lowest-sting actually use “AIJAC”? Having read enough of that Low-life, and finding my vomit monitor off the chart, I wouldn’t bother to check. In any case, it’s “AIPAC”, a significant difference. Mr. or Ms. deLeft, what you treat as minor oversights are basic symptoms of laziness, stupidity and ignorance that, in many cases, produce false, biased reporting. Of course, in accordance with the rules of leftoids, you attempt steer the main discussion in this post off course to concentrate on trivialities.
Oh, by the way, I do believe all Palestinians are suicide inclined, as bombers or otherwise. How explain their embrace of a vicious, self-destructive band of thugs, Hamas? And did they not start the plague of suicide bomnbings? (Or am I guilty of plaguerism?)

    1. Be interested in seeing a biography of your new overlord, Tim – might just have to buy a copy of the Bulletin …

Daphne – thanks for the quick overview.

Gustov – you’re a little touchy, especially on the subject of Loewenstein. Why is that?

    1. Oh, DeLeft, I notice that you have chosen “Watergate” as the baseline comparison for ‘important’ events. Of course, Watergate and Vietnam were the most important events of the (last) century. Nothing of note has happened since, certainly not suicide bombings resulting in the deaths of innocents. As your hero John Kerry says, this terrorism is simply a “nuisance”.

I’m not.  As I said, Loewy is most certainly a mummy’s boy.  I just found Daphne’s cutting remarks to be rather piss-weak. If he/she uncovers more than a questionable gramatical error then I’m all ears.

    1. The New York Post?  Oh, great another hippie…

Gustov — The sheer intellectual dishonesty it takes to claim you “wouldn’t recognize John Kerry…” is either awe-spiring in itself, insulting to the readers of this blog, or as embarrassing as one of Kerry’s straight-from-the-last-video-he-rented war stories.  Your pick.
Hey, that’s a thought!  Can we get Kerry a set of the American Ninja DVD’s?

    1. Daphne,

      Love your cheeky little expose.
      Keep the pre-release updates coming.

      Gustov,

You really are a little touchy. Knowing he is a mummy’s boy and being so concerned about “cutting remarks” I’m guessing you must be his dad?

Why on earth would you say that?  I’m not American, nor do I have any interest in American politics.  Do you think that your average American would know Kim Beasley if he walked into their living room?  If you didn’t read this blog, would you even know who Beasley is?

    1. I must say DeLeft thatThe sheer intellectual dishonesty it takes to claim you “wouldn’t recognize John Kerry…” is either awe-spiring… or a sign of such ignorance that you have no right to an opinion on any subject, including spelling and grammar . Every leftoid in the world was rooting for Kerry to upset Bush in the last American presidential election, and the K. horseface blossomed on every media type. But I’m inclined to believe you if you tell me that you never heard of Jaques Chirac, Tony Blair, Putin, Rumsfeld, Hugh Hefner.

    1. Gah!  Watergate and Vietnam as the two most important events of the 20th century!

Forget about WWI, WWII, the Great Depression, the assassination of McKinley, the end of the Boer War, the Panama Canal, the Russo-Japanese War, the founding of Sein Fein, the founding of the IWW, the assassinations of King Alexander I and Queen Durga and King Carlos and heaps of other royalty including the Tsar and Tsarina, the rapid deposition of various Shahs and Sultans like Abdul Hamid II and Mohammed Ali, the founding of the NAACP, and…and…

but no.  All these events PALE in comparison to fucking Watergate and the fucking Vietnam war.  All of history began in the 1960s, and everything before that was just background for the rise of hippiedom.  GAH!

Let’s turn this around: You are reading this blog, yet you claim you wouldn’t recognize John Kerry despite the ample amount of Kerry items over the past two years? That doesn’t reflect too well on either your reading comprehension or your medium- and long-term memory.

By the way, Gustov, the way people in the twenty-first century find out who people are who are discussed on websites is use these things called “search engines.” One such widely-used website is “Google.com.” It’s where I found out who “Kim Beasley” was. I’m sure if I saw a few more pics of him here and there I’d “know him by sight.”

    1. This predeliction for public self-immolation, this perverse and frankly pitiable exposure of themselves to obloquoy, derision and reproach—whether mild or acerbic—from their intellectual and literary betters in this place is an attribute of the leftist contributors here that sickens me (almost) beyond words.

Is there none among them capable of acquitting themselves effectively within this arena for the causes they purport to hold so dear?

What has become of us all, that challenging, reasoned discourse appears time and again to be the sole province of those with whom we already largely agree—in principle if not in detail?

Must we continue to filter through the noisome dregs of this tainted cask that passes for dialectic from the left—devoid of spirit, unleavened by thoughtful consideration or rhetorical rigour?

I grow tired of the “plonk”, the “beaujolais nouveau” that is continually served up by ces arrivistes. Bring me something with a rich & fruity turn of phrase, something underpinned by generous amounts of smoky, oaken profundity; nicely structured tannins of wit and penetrating ripe cherry nuances—a maieutic mead to refresh my mind and reinvigorate my mind.
