Jules Crittenden observes:
We usually put the horse in front of that particular cart, but to each his own.
Hmmm. Click for context.
- The sexual frustration is heightened by the fact that Moslem men consider it shameful and against religion to masturbate. I guess some of them must do it, but in all my time in the Middle East, I never heard anyone admit it. So, not being able even to have a tug to relieve the tension, let alone cracking on to any good sorts, is the cause of their frustration, which explodes in political violence, etc. Not to mention why the mere sight of a shapely goat or a good-looking boy is enough to drive them crazy.
- However, the Al-Azhar Supreme Council … refused to accept Dr. Atiyya’s apology, saying, “We must not be too lax in matters of religion, especially when the matter at hand is a fatwa that significantly affects people’s actual lives, inclinations, and views – because it speaks to their natural emotions which [lead them to] embrace what is permitted and shun prohibitions.”
I’m not sure. But I think that means they are going to put the doc on a no fatwa diet.
- +1 on Geoff’s (#3) observations on the Google ads on Crittenden’s blog.

- Thanks TF Mole.
Last November, Prime Minister Surayud Chulanont issued a far-reaching public apology on behalf of the Thai state for what he called flawed government policies toward local Malay Muslims.
… this and other olive branches failed to stem the daily killings of civilians – rubber tappers, municipal workers and teachers chief among them.“Diplomacy is not his strong point,”
“His expertise is to kill people and deal with things by force.”
“When things get hairy, you get Pallop on your side,” Thitinan [Pongsudhirak] said. “He knows how to fight back.”Bring him on.
- Please note, I have circulated this fatwa to all the (good looking) females in the office.
My lips are puckered in expectation…
