Bush’s polling has spiked impressively following his Fort Bragg speech. Not bad for a cretan.
UPDATE. Check out the right-hand column at Mark Steyn’s site. You’re famous, Chris!
- Go for it Dubya.
o/t
Dr Hoo tonight concerned a megalomaniac news network managing director masquerading as an alien predator and extracting the thoughts out of his journalists foreheads in order to control the world.
Suppressing any discussion or dissension from the journalistas and murdering people on the “top floor” of the building.
Gosh any ideas who the beeb think inspired that? Editor looked a lot like Greg Dyke tho, just to confuse us.
Damn. Have I started a new Tim Blair mythology? I only wish I were here for the long lunch with expensive wine.
I guess we’ll need a better map of the Mediterranean for future discussions.

Cretin (mentally retarted dwarf, due to thyroid deficiency) is an interesting word.
It’s sort of early PC.
It comes from the Swiss-French for “Christian”, because they wanted to point out that such people, despite their handicap, were still humans.

Crash — Where did he find thoughts in a journalist’s forehead?
And the Cretin is CHEATING! No fair making people listen to you!

IT’S WHERE GEORGE W BUSH IS FROM
According to leading intellectual Chris SheilHey, the start of a new Dubya meme! It’s right up there with plastic turkeys and AWOL! We even know who to thank! Chris Sheil, leading intellectual!

PS: If it was you mispelling “Cretin” once, it would probably be no big deal.

Actually, Mr. Sheil, we’re all concerned about your mental state. How long has it been since you’ve left your apartment? Do you often think people are staring at you and talking about you? Do you suddenly go into fits of crying and weeping for no reason? Do you tell yourself “I don’t need this third drink, I want this third drink. I can stop at any time!” and then wake up two days later in an alley wearing nothing but your socks and with no memory of how you got there? Do you worry that you are being followed or that your phone is tapped? Do often refer to yourself as “the Savior of Mankind”? Do you think that squirrels are CIA agents in disguise?
Whatever the problem is, Chris, know that we are all here for you.

Chris ‘The beaten Cretan’ Sheils – I suppose it’s better than being Chris ‘The fartin’ Spartan’ Sheils eh? p.s. Is it just me or has anyone else noticed how Sheils’ close set narrow beady eyes make him look like Laurie Ferguson? Freaky!1

Wow, two tim posts on my spelling in blog comments – and an international link. Must do this more often.
Yes, please, do, chris. You can set the standards for logic and lucidity of all the lefties of the world. You’re the perfect intellectual for the job, with the appropriate endorsements from the VRWC.
Keep up the good work!

I understand PW is living the Great American Dream. You know—born in a Communist country (East Germany), living in a reunified and democratic Germany (as a result of the economic collapse of the Soviet Union, thanks to the Cold War policies of the United States, with the coupe de grace administered by Ronald Reagan), and going to college in the United States.
This is hardly social climbing. Unless you mean climbing from socialism to capitalism.

Besides, cs, if you’re going to pose as an “intellectual” and criticize us “fascists”, well, hell, you ought to do a better job!
Doing a better job in posing and criticizing, I mean. So far, you grade out at an “F” for both.

What is it with fascists and spellin’ in blog coments?
Oh, that’s easy, Chris. Excessive misspellings tend to be a sign of a careless mind, and are often a good indicator that the person doesn’t take much care of their work in other areas as well.
Of course, in your case it’s not just excessive misspellings, but also consistent ones in some cases, which tends to be a sign of…well, let’s not succumb to the obvious ad hominem, but I’m sure you can figure out what fascists like us have you tabbed as.
What is it with leftards calling everyone “fascist” at the drop of a hat? Pretty soon the term will be as meaningless as “PhD.”

Poverty of ideas? Lazy shorthand? Door-in-the-face propaganda? Black-and-white extremist thinking? Underdeveloped vocabulary?
Whatever you choose, it comes down to (a) ignorance, or (b) willful deception. Either reflects rather badly on Mr. Sheil, whose credibility continues to plummet like some large heavy object falling from some very great height.
Well, perhaps a very small object, to keep the simile apt.
Dave S., I’d add on “(c) self delusion”. Some lefties are firmly convinced that their world perspective is real and true, and we only have to enter their universe to share in the vision.

Many of us remember that Clinton was highly unpopular – in fact, I recall sensing that he was the most hated president of my lifetime. Well, his highest disapproval rating in his two terms was 33 percent. I can recall feeling buoyed by the knowledge that fully one-third of the public hated the president.
But now look at the newest ABC News poll: Bush’s disapproval rating is 51 percent – not nearly as high as it should be, but enough to give any freedom lover a lift. Half the public (statistically speaking) are willing to tell pollsters that they disapprove of everything about the guy: domestic policies, international policies, and Bush personally.

What a shame that Bush’s “disapproval rating” was only 48% on November 2, eh?
At any rate, glad to know that disapproval ratings make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside, even though their political significance is exactly zip. (And people say lefties are too emotional about politics…lies, all!) I’ll give you one thing…with numbers like these, Bush just might not run for a third term.
Anyway, the fact that you actually think somebody who disapproves of Dubya in a poll disapproves of “everything about the guy: domestic policies, international policies, and Bush personally” is kind of cute. Yeah, that must be why those disapproval numbers jump as much as plus/minus 10% in a matter of months, if not weeks…guess some folks can’t make up their minds whether comprehensive and enduring loathing of all things Bush is really the right thing for them, or something.
98% sounds low, PW. If we say 100%, fff is certain to have an orgasm. I just hope fff isn’t blogging from a library, INTERNET cafe, or somewhere else equally public.

“The ABC News/Washington Post poll showed that 51% of Americans disapprove of the two-term president’s overall performance, with 40% strongly disapproving. Comparatively, former president Bill Clinton’s highest strong disapproval rating peaked at 33% in 1994”
You’re comparing Bush’s 51% disapproval with Clinton’s 33% strong disapproval. Bush’s equivalent strong disapproval is 40%. No figure given for Clinton’s disapproval rating.
Lying lefties…
“I can recall feeling buoyed by the knowledge that fully one-third of the public hated the president.”
he/she/it is talking about Clinton. So he/she/it is probably not a leftie.
As he/she/it rejoices equally in Bush’s strong disapproval ratings, I’d guess that our fur bearing visitor is probably ultra right wing. Either that or fff just hates everybody.
But it is safe to say fff is stupid. Period.

Ultra-left, ultra-right, it doesn’t matter. Both go around the circle and meet up with each other. The only difference is the beat of their drum.

Probably, PW, as I think I saw the same one. But that’s an extreme example. Most furries are are much like the people dressing up as and playing the roles of characters from Star Trek, Star Wars, or Lord Of The Rings.

And then the yiffing, god help us all there, it’s bad enough when two “Klingons” go at it.

Yeah I was getting worried, if Bush’s numbers slipped further he might not get a third term.
Over at democratic underground they’re convinced the gallup poll numbers mean Bush can now be impeached. Apparently, when you’re job approval ratings get under 45% you get impeached, you know, like Carter.
