CafePress.com permits this T-shirt design (not work safe), but has withdrawn from display reader Matthew J.’s rather more thoughtful image:
Matt’s shirt is “generally offensive or in bad taste”, apparently.

- Although it doesn’t absolve Cafe Press of their (typical) hypocrisy, the obscene phrase in the linked example is from The Silence of the Lambs. So it has “celebrity status”, I suppose.Posted by Spiny Norman on 2007 03 26 at 02:39 PM • permalink
- Just an aesthetic point, but shouldn’t the “S” be highlighted in black along with the “B” and “D” rather than the “O” in “HOME” to make BDS the hidden message of the shirt?Posted by andycanuck on 2007 03 26 at 03:17 PM • permalink
- “Bring David Hicks Home – and Hang Him”
This message is just plain WRONG.
We should hang him here.

We should hang him here.
I disagree. If the US intended to execute Mr Hicks we should have done so immediatly upon his capture, per the Geneva Convention.
Since we did not, he should be returned to Australia, an allied power (would be different if he were from an enemy state), there to suffer whatever his home country’s penalty for treason is.

- Maybe we can “encourage” India to request his extradition there. After all, he has publicly admitted that he
committed acts of terrorism against Indiashot at Indian soldiers from across the border.Posted by Barbara Skolaut on 2007 03 26 at 06:29 PM • permalink
