Desperate for a slice of Al Gore’s muttonburger fame, James Brolin – Mr Barbra Streisand – wants to open an organic burger chain:
I had an idea for healthful organic food and burgers for your children that looks like fast food, but everything would come from organic cattle, free run. I have a design for that and a promotional thing that, if I just went ahead and did it, I’d have a thousand or two thousand franchises right now.
It’s just that easy! Well, what would I know about the chances of Babsburger™ succeeding; I’m only a Streisand-style communist myself.
BTW, folks, when you click on that “Streisand-style communist” link, inquire of Ken as to where all the goats are. 😉

How odd. I also have “have a design for that and a promotional thing that, if I just went ahead and did it, I’d have a thousand or two thousand franchises right now.” However, since I’m really not interested in making McDonald’s or Starbucks’ type profits, I’ve just let it slide.
Probably the same for Brolin. He’s busy being Mr. Barbra Streisand, after all.

And I did, too close the bold tag.
Bold fixed. Please don’t try to fix it yourselves, I will eventually get to it. The Management.

Except for the fact that I’ve seen (hell, bivouac’d) on the range land where McD cattle already graze, that sounds like a wonderfully formed business plan.
Of course, I’ve never been to the secret factories where they grind up the used styrofoam packaging popcorn they use for filler, so what do I know?

The ignoramus doesn’t realise that hamburger beef is cow beef – from cows judged too old to be useful and culled from the herd. These poor old crackers never get to end their lives in the luxury of a feedlot getting high quality feed without having to walk too far to get it.
In fact, the US maccas (mickey Dees?) gets a fair chunk of its burger mince from Australian crackers, which having grazed in remote arid or semi-arid areas, never have to be de-wormed etc, and probably could qualify as organic by default except that most cow cockies couldn’t give a stuff about such wankery to
a) talk to the bullshit artists running organic certification scams and
b) get the forms filled out.
I fixed the bolds. Watch those tags, people!

Just about all cattle are raised free run (AFAIK). They just get fattened up in the feedyards before they are converted into tasty bits of bovine flesh. All Brolin is doing is cutting out that final step.
Besides, won’t PETA get mad at him? Doesn’t Babs heart fish, or something like that?
