The SMH’s Elizabeth Farrelly – discoverer of the postmodern polar bear – believes vengeance in nigh:

Even if you take Gaia, or indeed God, as mere metaphor, the possibility of her revenge is real. Which means the question about our relationship with nature is bleeping red.

Interesting that Farrelly chooses a technological image – a flashing warning light, presumably triggered by data downloaded from Nature Central – to illustrate her insane point.
