Jim Treacher has a question:

If a member of the Model UN molested little kids, just like they do in the real UN, what would be the criminal charge that they wouldn’t imagine themselves subject to? And isn’t “exceeding one’s briefs” a particularly unfortunate turn of phrase?

    1. Crash: go to your profile (the “Your account” link below the comment box) and go to “email settings.” Deselect the checkbox next to “Enable email notifications by default when you post messages.” The emails will stop.

    1. Hrmmm, when I was in college, the primary concern of participants in hosting the Model UN conferences was to nail the high school girls who attended.

For the sort of dweeb who did Model UN in college, dweeby fifteen-year-old girls were pretty much their only shot at impressing a “woman”.

    1. If Michael Jackson exceeds his briefs, does that make a pedophile priest a minister without portfolio?

    1. Briefings of the Warming Models are encouraged, nay mandated even in lieu of mandating what’s in one’s own briefs.

    1. So this World Government which believes it has the right to pontificate on global legalities and moralities has no authority over its own soldiers when they commit crimes such as rape?

    1. Exceeding one’s briefs can be a bit of a stretch. Just like taking the UN seriously any more.
Oh, wait a minute. I forgot. We have to get approval from a group which includes all manner of usurped sovereignty if we are to interfere with any country’s .. er, sovereignty.

  1. Underscore the UN by their own admission clearly has no responsibility; they are not able to discipline crimes committed under the UN flag by those wearing the blue helmet.

The buck just doesnt stop at the UN.
