The Daily Telegraph’s Malcolm Farr: “There is a nasty little scrap happening on the internet between the forces of the political Left and Right – and the right seems to be winning.”

UPDATE. Glenn Condell answers Farr’s claim that Australian lefty bloggers have become “a bunch of whining, humourless, self-absorbed bores”:

There’s not a whole lot of mirth to be found in today’s issues – our ongoing and unexamined part in an illegal and immoral war and it’s associated detentions and renditions; our imminent loss of even more media independence so that blokey, lightweight chortlers like Farr can continue to their pretend journalism, thereby ensuring the possibility of further disasters of this kind; the prospect of US style employment conditions and attitudes eroding a long standing Australian tradition of fairness and balance in IR; the gutting of public education, universities and the ABC, plus the prospect of real science having to win a popularity contest with Intelligent Design in our schools, and most importantly right now, the introduction of laws which reverse in an instant hundreds of years of legal evolution toward the freedoms we say we want to help the US implant all over the world.
