The guys at GrodsCorp don’t mince words:
Fairfax readers are stupid.
- Now this is the bloke that Rudd should be using for his marketing and campaigning.
What a panty waist. Really, that lot either go to ‘victim mode’, or boorish sarcasm. If you actually read into the thing, it sounds like group speak at the Phoenix Hotel in Flinders St on a Friday night back in the 80’s.
- Thanks for all of the conservative Aussie links, Grod (or whatever). You see, Tim just has the link list and no description of the sites on his left-hand screen side, so you’ve just saved me hours of surfing around for good sites. Nice to see that not all lefties are jerks. Thanks, even for the brutal “tounge” lashing you gave us. (Hey, maybe you can make some extra money proofreading for Margo? Keep it in mind, buddy, er, mate.)Posted by andycanuck on 2007 04 17 at 09:10 AM • permalink
- Very rarely do the readers of Tim Blair actually click on the link and read the entire articles for themselves.
WTF?
The burden of proof, Yer Honour … why not link to the thread yer on about, hypocrite!
- Since I refuse to click on the links and read the articles, I really don’t know what this comment is about, but I’ll go ahead and give my opinion anywho:
Blah, blah, blah, yadda yadda….
</grod reasoning>GROD – Graphically Rich Online Document
Indeed. I can clearly see their steaming pile of virtual dog-shit. Well done.
A bit defensive, isn’t he?
I think so as well, Rebecca. Sounds like someone (like Bolt, Tim, or Landeryou) has hit a sensitive point. Repeatedly.

- Wonder if these clowns wanna put their money where their “tounge” is on Global Warmin’:
Global Warming Related Bets Offered by BetUS.com (see notes below regarding * and #):
It’s proven that global warming exists beyond any scientific doubt before Dec. 31, 2007 Yes – 1/5* #
It’s proven that humans caused global warming beyond any scientific doubt before Dec. 31, 2007 Yes – 2/1*#
The ocean will rise six inches by the end of the year (worldwide as an average) Yes – 150/1
Polar Bears will become extinct by 2010 Yes – 100/1
A car that runs solely on water will hit the market by 2008 (must be a stock car produced for mass consumption) Yes – 150/1
Antarctica will become livable for humans by 2015 (must be able to sustain crops in order for wager to win) Yes – 500/1
Humans will find a way to reverse global warming so efficiently that global freezing becomes a factor by 2020 Yes – 300/1
Manhattan will be under water before 12/31/11 Yes – 100/1
Florida will be under water before 12/31/11 Yes – 10/1
Cape Cod is submerged by 2015 Yes – 150/1
Cape Hatteras is submerged by 2015 Yes – 300/1
Cape Canaveral is submerged by 2015 Yes – 100/1
Cape Henry is submerged by 2015 Yes – 200/1
Cape May is submerged by 2015 Yes – 200/1*To qualify as proven, “the government would have to announce in a statement that the study is without flaw and also conclude it is real without any scientific doubt,” BetUS.com spokesman Reed Richards said.
# Of these bets, James Annan said: “Under the definition of ‘the government says so,’ then we seem to be pretty much there, since the [U.S.] government has endorsed the IPCC report. ‘Beyond any scientific doubt’ is poorly worded though. I don’t expect anyone in any official position to use that exact form.”
- It’s funny how leftard blog sites give no information that can’t be obtained through any of the mainstream papers, most radio (especially ABC), and television (especially Sunrise and (again) ABC). Through Tim’s site I get more information from more places. Tim gives voice to the little people (or read that as the minorities) – scientists who study climate change and planet history and solar events who don’t believe that climate change is man made. Tim, Bolt and others are now the new activists, the revolutionaries railing against the system. The left are the opposite of what they use to stand for, believing every thing that is spoonfed to them by groups of people who simply agree with each other.
“Of course, the right only hate people like minorities, atheists, anyone of colour, and lefties which is okay”
Well, as my daughter is from a minority group (indigenous grandfather, so that covers ‘of colour’ as well) and I’m an atheist, I guess everyone here at Tim’s site now wants to club me to death. But hating lefties is absolutely NOT okay! It’s simply loads of fun!
- #7 But the Grod guy[s?] would raise the level of Margo’s blog, so wouldn’t that be an improvement, BJM?Posted by andycanuck on 2007 04 17 at 10:49 AM • permalink
- Re #9, egg_, there used to be a Mother Earth™ nutjob that once posted here, by name of Ender. He is an ardent environmental worshipper who could not be dissuaded from his beliefs that Humanity Is Killing The Earth.
One of his favorite tactics was to nag us to bet on climate change, and “put our money where our mouth is”, as he put it, to prove (to him!) our “belief” in the lack of impact from climate change.
Similar to what you are doing in #9. Not exactly, but close enough.
So, if I may offer some advice: If you are being sarcastic, please use the “/sarcasm” tag, just so we all know. “/Humor” would work just as well.
If you are not being sarcastic, prepare to get the same treatment Ender got. Because I consider using betting on climate change as proof of “belief” to be a sign of major brain damage. Ender, you see, sensitized me to the subject. My apologies if I misconstrued you.
Thank you.

- These BetUS people don’t know much about science, do they?
It’s proven that global warming exists beyond any scientific doubt before Dec. 31, 2007 Yes – 1/5* #
It’s proven that humans caused global warming beyond any scientific doubt before Dec. 31, 2007 Yes – 2/1*#These things are IMPOSSIBLE. There is no mechanism in science for “proving” anything “beyond any scientific doubt”. Every hypthesis is subject to reexamination and revision if new data shows it to be incomplete or inconsistent.
A car that runs solely on water will hit the market by 2008 (must be a stock car produced for mass consumption) Yes – 150/1
Also impossible. You can’t get energy from water. It’s the product of combustion, like ashes from a wood fire.
- Real Jeffs was that Ender who was exorting us to bet on global warming? I thought it was someone else who had set up these long term bets and claimed if sceptics didn’t take them then it proved they didn’t believe their own position. I checked them out and found that you can’t actually win money in the bet. Both betting parties put in a couple of hundred dollars which all goes to charity. All you get in twenty or thirty years time is some satisfaction that you were right.
So people who didn’t take up the bets weren’t being reticent to support their views – they were just sane and didn’t want to give money away.
All you get in twenty or thirty years time is some satisfaction that you were right.
I
standsit corrected, Francis. That was the case.So people who didn’t take up the bets weren’t being reticent to support their views – they were just sane and didn’t want to give money away.
Actually, I’ll donate to charity gladly. Now, and directly to the charity of my choice. Not in a couple of decades, at the whims of some broker who played with the interest earned from that money sitting in an account.

” Where did that post go?
I’ve removed yesterday’s post about how the process of separation inevitably turns the most amicable of people into suspicious opponents as they try to wrestle two separate lives out of one – because it was simply too personal. A little too raw, for the moment at least. And since, as we’ve seen, there are those who really have nothing better to do than to make personal attacks against me, and would just LOVE to pick apart such a post, I thought better of it and took it down.
Looks like you’ll be getting more photos of the cat instead…”
oh dear, I now feel for him, just a tiny bit, but oh well.
- #24- I refuse to run over roadbound bufos as they are an effective agent in culling native wildlife, opening up the ecosystem for fun introduced species that we can hunt with large calibre automatic assault weapons.
If however they’re hanging around the fairway I’ve got no problem with whacking them with a mashie niblick- if you tap them on the chin first, they obligingly tee up for you. I think they enjoy flight.
Now if you’re talking about the most prolific introduced pest that infests roadways, I reckon the term bullbar should be renamed bicyclebar.
- You mean the folks at Fauxfax can’t think for themselves.
Surely Terry Lane and his hard working, diligent researching comrade journos would never print lies or just total garbage!

The idea that the left might have always been right on these issues is a scary one
It is a well known fact that the left is always correct. They will support all sorts of despots and crackpots from Stalin to Latham until the inconvenient truth is revealed. Then they claim to have been against him all along.
If it turns out that Al Gore invented global warming to cover the fact he is kidnapping and eating babies, within days of the revelation the left will be telling anyone who will listen that they knew there was something wrong with Gore because that who global warning thing never made sense: “It was something Gore and the fascists of the right come up with get our beachfront houses and 4WDs on the cheap. I tried to warn people but the right controls the media.”
- Here’s my tip for any lefties considering blogging: if you’ve written a post that attempts to demonstrate your intellectual superiority, proof-read it first (if you’re an idiot, get a friend to proof-read it for you).
Seriously:
tounge?
vauge?Does this guy have some sort of learning disability regarding the letter ‘u’?

I’ve been through the manual three times and I can’t find out how to post a vauge attack. Do you have to pass some arcane rite of passage to be granted such knowledge?
lotocoti—No, you just mix the vegemite with the habanera sauce and the domestic Fosters…
