You see, Tim just has the link list and no description of the sites on his left-hand screen side, so you’ve just saved me hours of surfing around for good sites. Nice to see that not all lefties are jerks. Thanks, even for the brutal “tounge” lashing you gave us. (Hey, maybe you can make some extra money proofreading for Margo? Humans will find a way to reverse global warming so efficiently that global freezing becomes a factor by 2020 Yes – 300/1

*To qualify as proven, “the government would have to announce in a statement that the study is without flaw and also conclude it is real without any scientific doubt,” BetUS.com spokesman Reed Richards said.

      # Of these bets, James Annan said: “Under the definition of ‘the government says so,’ then we seem to be pretty much there, since the [U.S.] government has endorsed the IPCC report. ‘Beyond any scientific doubt’ is poorly worded though. 1. It’s funny how leftard blog sites give no information that can’t be obtained through any of the mainstream papers, most radio (especially ABC), and television (especially Sunrise and (again) ABC). Through Tim’s site I get more information from more places. Tim gives voice to the little people (or read that as the minorities) – scientists who study climate change and planet history and solar events who don’t believe that climate change is man made. Tim, Bolt and others are now the new activists, the revolutionaries railing against the system. The left are the opposite of what they use to stand for, believing every thing that is spoonfed to them by groups of people who simply agree with each other.

“Of course, the right only hate people like minorities, atheists, anyone of colour, and lefties which is okay”

Well, as my daughter is from a minority group (indigenous grandfather, so that covers ‘of colour’ as well) and I’m an atheist, I guess everyone here at Tim’s site now wants to club me to death. But hating lefties is absolutely NOT okay! It’s simply loads of fun!

    1. Re #9, egg_, there used to be a Mother Earth™ nutjob that once posted here, by name of Ender.  He is an ardent environmental worshipper who could not be dissuaded from his beliefs that Humanity Is Killing The Earth.

One of his favorite tactics was to nag us to bet on climate change, and “put our money where our mouth is”, as he put it, to prove (to him!) our “belief” in the lack of impact from climate change.

Similar to what you are doing in #9.  Not exactly, but close enough.

So, if I may offer some advice:  If you are being sarcastic, please use the “/sarcasm” tag, just so we all know.  “/Humor” would work just as well.

If you are not being sarcastic, prepare to get the same treatment Ender got.  Because I consider using betting on climate change as proof of “belief” to be a sign of major brain damage.  Ender, you see, sensitized me to the subject.  My apologies if I misconstrued you.

      Thank you.

It’s proven that humans caused global warming beyond any scientific doubt before Dec. 31, 2007 Yes – 2/1*#

These things are IMPOSSIBLE. There is no mechanism in science for “proving” anything “beyond any scientific doubt”. Every hypthesis is subject to reexamination and revision if new data shows it to be incomplete or inconsistent.

A car that runs solely on water will hit the market by 2008 (must be a stock car produced for mass consumption) Yes – 150/1

Also impossible. You can’t get energy from water. It’s the product of combustion, like ashes from a wood fire.

    1. Real Jeffs was that Ender who was exorting us to bet on global warming? I thought it was someone else who had set up these long term bets and claimed if sceptics didn’t take them then it proved they didn’t believe their own position. I checked them out and found that you can’t actually win money in the bet. Both betting parties put in a couple of hundred dollars which all goes to charity. All you get in twenty or thirty years time is some satisfaction that you were right.

So people who didn’t take up the bets weren’t being reticent to support their views – they were just sane and didn’t want to give money away.

Actually, I’ll donate to charity gladly.  Now, and directly to the charity of my choice.  Not in a couple of decades, at the whims of some broker who played with the interest earned from that money sitting in an account.

If it turns out that Al Gore invented global warming to cover the fact he is kidnapping and eating babies, within days of the revelation the left will be telling anyone who will listen that they knew there was something wrong with Gore because that who global warning thing never made sense: “It was something Gore and the fascists of the right come up with get our beachfront houses and 4WDs on the cheap.
