Kim Beazley’s leadership is in the balance. Early yesterday morning a highly embarrassing mistake gave some of his senior colleagues cause to think again about him as Opposition Leader. In itself his confusion between bereaved Australian entertainer Rove McManus and Republican White House adviser Karl Rove is too tragic, and would cause Beazley such genuine personal hurt, to be used against him.
But the high-profile gaffe and its timing could turn it into a Labor epiphany. This could have the effect of unleashing the dogs of war, venting the frustration so many of his supporters feel and convincing waverers that things could be better under a different leader

It is debatable whether either side of politics actually draws from a talent pool. This crop of state Labor parliamentarians are clearly drawn from a talent puddle.

I dunno, the only alternative to bomber is the combat pixie possum from Bulimba. He would get a glorious honeymoon period, before getting undermined by the Queensland ALP, most of whom hate him.
O/T, but very amusing, is the latest war machine technological innovation by those wily Zionists: missile launching insects!

If this guy really is such a gutless, spineless, brainless, feeble, weak, tender, damp, unmanly, infantile, eunuchoid fucktard as to suffer unbearably from being reminded of something stupid he said in public, he has no business in politics — or anywhere in public life, or in fact anywhere outside of a goddamn plastic bubble with a controlled atmosphere. If he’s that helpless, get rid of him! Throw him out of the party! Better yet, shoot the pathetic creep and he’ll suffer no more.
Holy Toledo, are they really that far gone, or was he kidding?

Rove’s spell on the Democrats might have been broken last Tuesday, but he’s still a powerful influence on the left in Australia.

The ALP doesn’t need a different leader, it needs a leader. And some sensible policies. And maybe, if the boys and girls at State level could halt their lemming-like rush into the abyss…
