REALITY DODGED
You may have noticed various news reports of an Asian tsunami crisis, and Australia’s reaction to it. Phillip Adams, obsessed as usual with John Howard’s wickedness, evidently hasn’t:
Howard has used his opposition to Asian migration - and appropriated One Nation policies - to considerable advantage. Menzies’ Yellow Peril becomes Howard’s Brown Peril: the teeming millions of Muslims. Welcome to the past!
Welcome to the present, Phillip: one teeming billion donated to the “Brown Peril”. This column (it appeared in The Australian‘s liftout magazine on Saturday) was probably written early last week, which offers Adams little excuse; by then, much was already known of Australia’s aid efforts. Maybe somebody is censoring his newspapers.
