How much money does it take for a devoted ABC presenter and public broadcasting advocate to go commercial? About $500,000. Score this as a belated triumph for the Chris of Death, whose support invariably delivers unintended results.
In other ABC news, apparently Melbourne presenter John Cleary last night repeated Bill Moyers’ bogus James Watt attribution (“After the last tree is felled, Christ will come back”). ABC types have a strange habit of repeating myths earlier published by the Sydney Morning Herald’s Alan Ramsey.
