OPPOSITION OPPOSED TO ITSELF
Proving it has some useful purpose after all, the Labor party has spent the last couple of days helpfully writing the Coalition’s future campaign advertisements. Ad one (“How Can You Trust Labor When They Don’t Trust Themselves?”) will feature Julia Gillard:
“Key Beazley backers are reverting to type, are being true to form, and are again playing the game of backgrounding the media incorrectly for no other purpose than for disparaging a colleague,” she said.
And ad two (“At Least They’re Honest”) will star K. Rudd:
“We are the ALP, we are the alternative government of Australia, and frankly, right now, we are in a God-awful shambles,” he said.
Rudd is now out of the leadership race, having been crushed by the twin endorsements of Margo Kingston and the Chris of Death. Looks like the ALP is back on Beazley Street.
