NOTHING CAN CONVINCE THEM
The Herald Sun‘s Jill Singer is deeply unamused by conservative reaction to global warming alarmism:
While the global scientific community has reached consensus on the dangers we face from man-made climate change, conservative climate sceptics are rushing lemming-like to claim it’s a beat up ...
We are warned to expect spreading deserts, more frequent devastating storms, destruction of the Great Barrier Reef and rising oceans.
None of it seems to bother them in the slightest ... nothing can convince them that climate change should be taken seriously.
We are talking here about people who change their standards of proof with the ease they change their undies.
Singer knows a great deal about changing standards. About her own underwear-changing skills, sadly, I am insufficiently informed to describe.
(Speaking of effortless change, in her column Jill converts me from a happy Daily Telegraph warming denialist to some kind of glib and self-important fellow writing for the Australian. Not one for paying attention is Ms Singer.)
