DO NOT QUOTE THE MULLAH
Mark Steyn reviews the Canadian Islamic Congress’s ridiculous case against him. Finest moment thus far in this toxic assault on free speech is one Mohamed Elmasry’s complaint that Steyn referred to the number of Muslims in Europe expanding like “mosquitoes”:
Either Dr Elmasry is making the same mistake as Jim Henley and attributing to me the words of Mullah Krekar, or he believes that it’s “Islamophobic” to quote accurately leading European Muslims.
Forget Steyn - let’s put the Mullah himself on trial! Go to the source! Further from Melanie Phillips:
The thesis of Mark Steyn’s book America Alone, that Europe was succumbing to an Islamist takeover, has been proved spectacularly correct—in Canada, and with himself as the designated victim.
This is potentially a more important test of Western sensibilities than may be quickly realised.
