XMAS CHEER CANCELLED
Sydney’s Bondi Surf Club runs an annual event called Xmas Cheer, which seems a cheery enough evening of festiveness. This year’s Xmas Cheer has been promoted for weeks, but last night club members received this email:
From: Bondi Surf Bathers’ Life Saving Club
Sent: Saturday, December 17, 2005 8:15 PM
Subject: Xmas Cheer CancelledHi everyone,
Unfortunately due to further police intelligence Xmas Cheer has been postponed until early next year. We hope you understand and respect the decision that has been made.
This follows Randwick Council’s decision to cancel Christmas carols. There may be public liability issues involved here, but in the meantime all involved should be condemned as girly men.
(Via a club member)
Well if they are going to cancel Christmas and all summer events this year can they please at least say why? All reports in the media (at least all I’ve heard) are that they are cancelled to due to fear of more racist attacks according to text messages. Can they please tell us who are instigating these racist attacks?
@2 Billster, this is because I don’t believe it is the actions of 2 groups of thugs. Unless the Lebanese gangs are from 2 distinct groups. So the Muzzies won then is what they are saying. They have so intimidated that everyone is turning turtle.
Posted by Andrew Ian Dodge on 2005 12 17 at 11:01 AM • permalinkAbsolutely, Christmas itself should be canceled. Let’s face it- celebrating Christmas is nothing more than a hate crime.
Posted by Mystery Meat on 2005 12 17 at 11:21 AM • permalink“We are doing this to ensure that we keep our beaches and our communities safe.”
Yes, if everyone deserts the streets and beaches and hides at home, they will remain safe. For a time.
I suppose it’s easy for me to say since I don’t live there, but this seems to me like giving in to thuggery. Calling the people who decided to cancel Christmas for everyone girly men is an insult to girls.
Bondi Surf club should not be confused with the donkeys who put on that performance at Cronulla last week. These are the guys who protect the people who go to the beach and is made up of dedicated schoolkids, professionals, small business owners, all who have a love of the surf and of community service, very Australian really.
Pull that shit in California and smart money says every latino street gang in the state suddenly remembers they’re Catholic.
Posted by richard mcenroe on 2005 12 17 at 11:55 AM • permalinkLet me borrow a thought from the Founders of the United States: From the Federalist papers, No. 3, “Among the many objects to which a wise and free people find it necessary to direct their attention, that of providing for their safety seems to be the first.” So safety is not to be found by having trembling citizens hide from danger in their homes, but RATHER it is the duty of the government to provide for that safety, even by bashing heads. Where is the outrage that will drive Australians to vote the girly-men out and to get some leadership? FIRST STEP, BAN RAMADAN!
Unfortunately due to further police intelligence Xmas Cheer has been postponed until early next year. We hope you understand and respect the decision that has been made.
OK, if I understand this, the police got word that someone was planning on doing something that could cause problems, centered around the Bondi Surf Club’s event.
I really doubt that the group the press declared was racist would be motivated to lash out against a Christmas event.
So who does that leave?

Posted by beautifulatrocities on 2005 12 17 at 03:11 PM • permalinkEveryone except the politicians and the media knows what is going on.
1. After a life saver bashing and provocation the local have a rally, get drunk, get criminal and bash some innocent people. Result: lots of (justifiable) arrests, self loathing and noone seriously injured. No property damage, media happy to report from the scene amongst the ‘rioters’.
2. The Lebanese Muslim Community’s response is a series of well organised and premeditated assaults launched from the Premier’s electorate into neighbourning areas. Result lots of damage, people hospitalised with serious injuries and the media too scared to venture amongst the crowd.
3. Spate of drive by bashings accross Sydney on White Aussies. Result people hospitalised.
4. Big get together at Lakemba Mosque. My neighbour (nice Lebanese Muslim School teacher) goes to (hopefully) send kids from his school (Lakemba Public) home. He calls it the biggest gathering of criminals he has ever seen. Result public riot with Police and media too scared to get within a couple hundred metres. Subsequently a Christian Christmas Carol event is shot up and four churches attacked (including one burnt to the ground) and Christian events in the Premier’s electorate are cancelled. Our children’s Catholic school goes ahead with its Christmas concert in Iemma’s electorate but with lots of security. Rights of freedom of religious observance in Iemma’s electorate apparently reserved for Muslims only, Christians can go else where.
5. Keysar Trad (Lebanese Friendship Association) brokers peace between Lebanese Muslims and the Bra Boys (Aussie surfies at Maroubra, a suburb attacked despite having nothing to do with Cronulla). The Bra Boys surrender is taken by a prominent member of the Comanchero’s bikie gang (who Trad presumabely represents). Result a spate of surrender ceremonies in which Cronulla surf life savers apologise to Muslims for race hate. Ofcourse there is no apology to life savers for being bashed.
My message to the Premier is this:
Who is going to apologise to us for burning down our churches, anti Christian violence and intimidation, religious vilification, racial hatred, property damage, sexual harassment and abuse? Who from the Lebanese Muslim Community is going to reassure us it is ok to celebrate Christmas? And finally Mr Iemma who is going to clean up your filthy electorate and when?
Just about everyone in Sydney (South of the Parramatta River and West of Annandale) knows what is going on and it was evident in the bollocking Virginia Trioli got on pro multiculti ABC local talk back on Tuesday or Wednesday when she suggested that Lebanese Muslims weren’t the problem. When ABC talkback goes feral there is a deep problem that even the most multi culti can’t deny.
The root cause of this is dirty ALP local politics and local political patronage. That is why Lebanese Muslim criminals in Iemma’s electorate are never affected by proper policing unless it is led by the Federal Police and or ASIO. The NSW Police are obviously under instructions not to upset the local criminal’s in Iemma’s electorate. His electorate is nearly 50% Muslim and they make up his local political base. He has to repay their support as they probably ran the ethnic sectarian branch stack that got Iemma into office in the first place. As a result Iemma has a hands off approach to law and order that might affect his political base. That is why there will be plenty of arrests of everyone except Lebanese Muslims.
After all the provocation and organised violence from Lebanese Muslim’s, punctuated by one event by Whites, Iemma and Police Commissioner Moron….ey decide to punish the city by closing beaches rather than punishing the criminal element in the Lebanese Islamic community in Iemma’s electorate.
People of New South Wales let’s take our retribution out on the Labor Party everywhere and anywhere they come up for election.
The ALP’s ethnic ghetto, sectarian based, local criminal political thuggery has gone city wide, it will go national soon enough if we let it go unchecked.
Sack Iemma, Moron….ey and Scully now.
Posted by platey mates on 2005 12 17 at 03:16 PM • permalinkThanks platey mates, that was the most succinct summation of the current situation I have yet seen. If the cops had been allowed to go in hard and decisively on the lebanese muslim gangs when they first started presenting a problem years ago, it never would have come to this bulls**t. Now I fear the police are too pussified to do anything but react to whatever the thugs dictate will happen next.
The whole surf lifesaving movement is an affront to Islam and should be abolished.
Themselves wearing skimpy clothes, they will - mostly as volunteers - rescue others who should be left to die as sacrificial appeasement to Allah for their obscene attire and their frollicking ways.
I will wear these words on a (long sleeved) T-shirt, along with calls to abolish the inherently racist recognition of Christmas (better make that lower-case “c” as well) to ensure the safety myself and my family on Sydney streets.
And four times a day I will kneel in the prone position and fart in the opposite direction to Mecca (I may need to check if this is the exact procedure).
Sorry for the cross post but I thought this is relevant here:
Oh, and BTW, no such caving in on the Gold Coast where last night we attended the annual Carols By Candlelight (more like Concert By Glowstick) at Movieworld and were treated to (among others) two Christian rock bands, two Christian dance troupes, a lot of traditional carols (Oh Come All Ye Faithful, Little Town Of Bethlehem and Away In A Manger among them) as well as the Gospel story read by a teenage girl who finished by earnestly witnessing her Christian faith to the crowd of thousands of soft-drink swilling, fairyfloss munching, glowstick waving family folk.
They applauded.
—Nick
The event (including a fireworks finale) was staged by the local community progress association with support from the GCCC (Councillor Bob La Castra also performed on staged), local churches, businesses and the local bush fire brigade.
It costs $30K to stage and is open to all for free. After the event everyone picked up their rubbish and left in an orderly fashion. It was also nice to see neighbouring families able to walk home at 10pm without fear.
All in all, it was wonderful. All Australian community should be able to enjoy something like this.

She liked it so much she printed it off and showed it to me asking what I thought as i had “worked with those types of people”(Muslims and arabs). I pointed out I disagreed with the sheet and that it was a bit silly to tar the whole group with one brush, that I had met mostly ordinary people in detention, only ,say 5%, ratbags. If a lady as sweet as my mother can be influenced by crap propaganda then a far right party isnot out of the question.
This is directly because she and her generation were never convinced, persuaded or even asked to make an informed decision on immigration matters.
They still havent been, nor have I, or anyone else in the forseeable future. Some of the apparently disproportionate reaction to the muslim crime gang in Lemmings electorate is due to this.
This is not democracy.Posted by thefrollickingmole on 2005 12 17 at 07:47 PM • permalink#6: I agree about the girls.
After all, where’s the real defiance coming from?
Well, over the past 10 years (and this is an indisputable fact known to anyone who visits the real world on a regular basis) there has been increasing harassment and vilification by young Muslim men of non-Muslim women on the basis of the women’s immodest clothing.
And what’s happened to that clothing over the same period?
It’s gotten smaller and thus more immodest! Tops, shorts, swimsuits and skirts have been steadily shrinking despite the threats, the abuse and even the sexual assaults.
So hats off to the girls who are leading the way in defying the aggresively misogynistic and anti-freewill mindset!
Flash some flesh for civilization!
There is much Australians can and must do to atone for their mistreatment of persons of middle eastern appearance. These suggestions seem like a good place to start:
1- All Australians must refrain from eating between dawn and dusk during Ramadan.
2- All Australians must refrain from Christian or any other pagan observances.
3- All Australian men who are uncircumcised must be trimmed. Sheep shears or box cutters will work.
4- All Australian women who are not working prostitutes must cover their hair and wear modest clothing at all times.
5- Any Australian who meets a Muslim on the sidewalk must step aside and allow him to pass.
6- All Australians must pay a special tax to fund Muslim schools.
7- Australians must have no legal rights. No Australian may testify in court against a Muslim, nor do they have any legal right to dispute or challenge anything done to them by a Muslim.
8- Austalians who kill or harm a Muslim must be put to death.
9- All Australian non-muslims must wear badges or other symbols to distinguish them from believers. This will avoid contamination of believers by non-believers.
10- All Australians must personally apologize for their intemperate attitudes.
Posted by Mystery Meat on 2005 12 17 at 08:07 PM • permalinkRather depressing to see the one-sided reportage around the world. An excerpt from an article written by Ben Sandilands (credited to the Sydney Observer) in the Taipei Times:
Some Lebanese street gangs whose activities are of growing concern inside Muslim as well as non-Muslim communities had fought several Cronulla volunteer lifeguards and won.
Serial text messages were then received by thousands of Cronulla’s sons of the surf urging them to reclaim the beach “for Australians” and bash all Arabs and “Lebs” on the following Sunday.
The rest of the article was a condemnation of Aussie mateship, racism, etc. Interesting take: Lebanese gang wins a fair fight with a “several” lifeguards. I guess the implication of this is that “Aussies” (as opposed to the Muslim brothers) are poor losers.
And all of these “Aussies” are judged by the behavior of a group of drunken thugs while we’re told that those carloads of young Arab men who repeatedly pack-raped the “Aussie sluts” in a pre-meditated and systematic racial attack don’t reflect at all on their culture.
Who’d you rather take your chances with? A drunk with a tree branch or carloads of armed, mobile-phone-synchronised rapists?
It is incumbent on a certain learned resident of Bondi to grab a few slabs of Christmas cheer next Saturday night and coerce as many acquaintances and neighbours to do the same and get down to the beach and party like there is a tomorrow, a tomorrow called Christmas Day. Keep the cheer up and the dooks down and civilisation will have won.
Pathetic that Australians could be so easily intimidated.
Surely the liability issue could be gotten around by simply issuing a statement that anyone who attends does so knowing that their safety cannot be guaranteed.
Most of us understand that’s the case when we leave our homes in the morning.
Posted by Mike Jericho on 2005 12 17 at 10:14 PM • permalinkLooks like, to me sitting here in the US, that the whole thing could have been avoided with some even-handed enforcement of the law. Hassling the surfers just frustrates them even more and not arresting the car bashers send the message that they can get away with anything. Just means more tension to come.
I know very little about Australian and NSW politics, but it seems to me like Mr. Iemma deserves tar, feathers, and a rail for Christmas.
So what happens on Christmas day at Bondi beach when 5000 pissed pommie backpackers are turned away? The poms LOVE the booze and the BIFF.

6- All Australians must pay a special tax to fund Muslim schools.
While there is no special tax, Australian taxpayers are already funding Muslim schools. Of course nonMuslim private schools receive funding as well, but there dont seem to be similar problems being caused by the Jewish, Catholic, Bahai, 7th Day Adventist etc communities.

That’s not true at all. Haven’t you heard, the Jewish Community actually caused the riots, the July 7 London bombing, the 9/11 WTC bombing and WWII?
As for those Ba’hai… Don’t get me started!
# 10 “Let me borrow a thought from the Founders of the United States: From the Federalist papers, No. 3 ...”
statts, your quoting one of the Federalist Papers is commendable. You stealing one of the Federalist Papers to do it is a felony. Please return FP #3 to the National Archives as soon as possible.
P.S. They want #1, #2, and #4 back too.
Posted by wronwright on 2005 12 18 at 12:42 AM • permalinkFunny thing is, surfers usually get out of their cars & head straight for the breakers. Then you don’t see them until they emerge from the water, get into their cars & piss off. At least that goes for everywhere I surf. So they’re not the ones to be inconvenienced or troubled by beach gangs. Unless these gangs form floatillas and loiter around the back sets.
It’s those who actually use the beach (the sandy part) who would suffer the most.
Now I always knew sunbathing was dangerous, but I now realise it’s socially disruptive.
This is not about race, religion or culture. It’s a war between pale-skinned neophyte sunbathers and the coconut-oiled veterans!
#32 Mike H, Iemma is actually spelt I E M M A. Not being a New South Waler, I can’t vouch for it, but I did come across the assertion that he comes from good old Italian Roman Catholic stock.
Lemming is a pretty good name for him, as is Dilemma.
And his name is pronounce ‘Yemma’, I think.

“Three things distinguish anti-Christian persecution and discrimination around the world. First, it’s ugly. Second, it’s growing. And third, the mass media generally ignore or downplay its gravity…” according to Archbishop Chaput of Denver USA.
The Archbishop would be disappointed in the Australian MSM reportage of the Sydney riots / Muslim hate crimes against Australians and Christians. On another brighter note the Vatican has finally realised that Arab Muslim government in Palestine equals a hastened genocide of Christians in the Holy Land, and most particularly in Bethlehem.
“The plight of Bethlehem’s Christians under the PA’s thuggery has, however, drawn outrage from Christian organizations worldwide….Indeed, just this week, the Vatican, in a rare diplomatic move, called publicly on the Israelis to intervene in Bethlehem on behalf of its severely receding Christian population. Now totaling less than 12% of Bethlehem’s population, Christians, who have been the targets of continual PA violence, might leave entirely. The result will be that in the place where Jesus was born there will no longer be a Christian community.”
Furthermore the EU might have found its spine. Threatening to stop aid to Palestine if Hamas wins the PA election.
Seems like the Vatican and the Catholic Church might be ready to start a non violent fight for Christians in Muslim countries and the EU might stop indirectly funding terror. About bloody time.
