WORD IS BOND
Attacks on Israel and the West Bank since the February 2005 truce declaration:
• April 17, 2006: A bomber blows himself up at a Tel Aviv restaurant targeted previously, killing eight other people.
• March 30, 2006: A bomber disguised as a Jewish hitchhiker blows himself up in a car outside a West Bank settlement, killing four Israelis who stopped to pick him up. The Al Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigades, a violent offshoot of Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas’ Fatah Party, claims responsibility.
• Jan. 19, 2006: A bomber disguised as a peddler blows himself up at a Tel Aviv felafel restaurant, wounding 20 people.
• Dec. 29, 2005: A bomber explodes at an Israeli army checkpoint in the West Bank, killing an Israeli soldier and two Palestinians.
• Dec. 5, 2005: A bomber blows himself up at a shopping mall in the coastal town of Netanya, killing five.
• Oct. 26, 2005: A bomber blows himself up in Hadera at a food stand, killing five.
• Aug. 28, 2005: A bomber blows himself up in the southern city of Beersheba, killing only himself.
• July 12, 2005: A bomber blows himself up outside a shopping mall in Netanya, killing five.
• Feb. 25, 2005: In the first attack after a truce is declared, a bomber blows himself up near a Tel Aviv nightclub, killing four.
Well, it is a nuisance, PW. To Kerry and his ilk, I mean. The stupid universe simply won’t change to reflect their desires and needs.
Posted by The_Real_JeffS on 2006 04 17 at 02:38 PM • permalinkMonday’s suicide bombing in Tel Aviv, which killed seven people, was a part of the Palestinian right to self-defence, a spokesperson for the ruling Hamas party said in Gaza.
Hamas spokesperson Sami Abu Zuhri said: “Resisting the Israeli aggression is right as long as it continues.
“The occupation seized the money of Palestinian people, and urged the world not to assist them, so this attack took place and blew up in the face of those who agree to this aggressive attitude.”

So, if they don’t kill any infidels when they explode….do they still get their full allotment of 72 virgins?
Or, is it somehow prorated, depending on the results. Does this loser only get, like, one virgin because his aim was so poor?
And another question. Since it’s heaven, are the virgins eternally virginal? Or do they lose their virginity, thus diminishing the quality of the reward earned by the self-exploder? That would suck.
Well, maybe not, if the virgins do.
Well if suicide bombing is a “natural” reaction to Israeli “aggression” then…
Israeli strikes into Gaza in response to constant rocket launches aimed at its citizens is only a natural response to Palestinian aggression.
Whilst the faulty logic espoused by Hamas is plain to see by anyone with an ounce of intelligence, sadly the Western MSM is yet to question it.
Whenever Bush, Howard or members of their governments make a statement about anything the Western MSM picks it apart, questions it, goes and finds ten ‘experts’ to discredit it. However whenever Hamas or others of its ilk makes an outlandish remark the MSM reports the comment as it stands with minimal questioning.
I just watched some idiot on CNN phrase a question to the Israeli ambassador to Great Britain using “...but Hamas has said that this attack is a response to…”
They still get their full allotment, but they all look like this.
And, yes, as I understand it the viginity is perpetual. A new bud for every lost flower.

Now, where would the Israelis get the idea that anti-semitism is a significant problem?
Suicide bombings, perhaps? The holocaust?
Beats the hell out of me.

Note that the BBC have put ‘self defence’ in Brackets this time in describing the Hamas statement.
Obviously the main scribes were on a long easter break and a junior wrote it up.
‘The bombing, which came during the festival of Passover, was the first suicide attack in Israel since January. ‘
Obviously bombers described as Jewish hitchikers do not qualify as officioal BBC suicide bombers.
the Beeb is obviously keen to spin this as an abberation from the long period of peace which has existed since Hamas was elected.
Also a solitary photo of the Pal hero who sacrificed himself for Jihad martyrdom.
For photos of the carnage go to Charles Johnson at LGF.
Hamas(don’t read the charter) wants peace with Israel but is unable to control the actions of “other groups”.
Now when have we heard that before?I wouldn’t worry about the Jews, they can take care of themselves. I’ve just finished reading Striking Back which is about Mossad’s response to the Munich massacre in 1972. I also heard on the BBC that the Israeli army has dropped some 2,000 artillery rounds onto the Palestain areas:
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/middle_east/4910810.stmSo the government which calls for the total anniahlation of Israel has no control inside its own territories?
Quagmire, I call Quagmire!!!
The worlds largest population of dole bludgers. I saw the kid they “fartered” in that mission. He looked about 14. The Israelis will be searching younger and younger palis and the human rights mob will present this as an abuse.
Scum.Posted by thefrollickingmole on 2006 04 17 at 07:12 PM • permalink#20: a classic BBC job; everything from the Palo perspective. They seem to be quite squeamish about showing numbers of killed and maimed Israeli bomb victims. Not so with injuries on the other side.
Sickeningly hypocritical when they mourn the loss of a child, at the same time strapping bombs on children and making others targets by firing rockets from residential locations.
What’s needed is a Suicide Bomber Univerity.
A four year institution where bombers to be can recieve all the newest and bestest instruction in bomb making, wearing and blowing uping.
The Final Test would be to have the graduating class demonstrate profeciency in the construction, donning and syncronous blowing uping of their bombs in front of an assembly of the lower classmen.
Of course, if done properly, we’d have to start from scratch every four years.
Fucking Fairfax.
“Since October 2000 Hamas suicide bombers have killed 300 Israelis. Israeli military attacks have killed almost 5000 Palestinians in the same period. “
http://smh.com.au/news/world/israel-blames-hamas-for-blast/2006/04/17/1145126060742.html?page=2Of course it doesn’t mention what percentage of the 300 Israelis were unarmed civilians and what percentage of the 5000 Palestinians were armed combatants.
Well, it is a nuisance, PW. To Kerry and his ilk, I mean.
I think there’s a lot more truth to that than we’d like to believe. Until 9/11, terrorism never really struck at Kerry’s social class. Since it only happened once, well, for Kerry et. al., it is a nuisance.

I don’t blame you. Note the obscene assumption that since the Israelis have managed to kill more of their enemy, they are somehow the bad guys in all of this. It’s the numbers, not the reality of the bodies or who the bodies are or how many are maimed for life, or anything else but the crudity of numbers. Certainly not anything so irrelavent as justice.
There’s some humanity-loving collectivists for you. Pffft!
Can anyone give me the name of any books that cover the topic of the creation of Israel, going back to before/during/after the British managed the area, created Jordan.
I’m trying to get a handle on all this. From what I’ve gathered so far, the British created Jordan, moved most of the arabs there, gave them the right to exclude Jews from immigrating. Left the Jews the rest together with some arabs, and didn’t give them the right to exclude arabs. The arabs/muslims then procreated to a point where they were significant enough to say hey we want our own land now (so we’re want what was given to the Israelis), together with what the Israelis took over after the six year war.
As u can see this is pretty basic knowledge, probably not entirely accurate. But am interested in getting a handle on all this, cos u certainly can’t from all the accusations/claims and counter accusation/claims going on.Dan
It isn’t just the numbers that is so offensive, but the fact that Fairfax draw a moral equivalence between an army that tries to avoid civilian casualities and a terorist organisation that deliberately puts their own children in the firing line and hopes they’ll be killed in order to inflate their cause. The more extreme the Palestinians become—the more the Jews are blamed. It is thouands of years of history repeating itself. Jew hatred is socially acceptable. Just ask Fairfax.Spyder
Don’t have a book for you but you are right about the birth rate. Arafat called on Palestinian women to have as many babies as possible. They call it the “war of the womb”. The average Palestinian woman in Gaza is having 7 babies in her lifetime. There is a very high rate of birth defects because they produce children with their close relatives. Some Palestinian women are actually trying to remedy the problem but face huge problems such as gangs of young men setting fire to birth control clinics and honour killings. There has been a rise in honour killings in the West Bank and Gaza since the Israeli withdrawal. Western feminists are hypocrites in their silence here. Neo-con middle-aged men are showing more concern for womens’ rights in the Middle East than any group of women anywhere. Feminists are traditionally Leftists and since the Left has aligned itself with the anti-War movement they have paralysed themselves when it comes to Arab human rights abuses.
Daphne.
I so agree with you. It is thousands of years of history repeating itself and the more extreme the Palestinians become, the more the Jews are blamed. Unfortunately some people never learn. And what is worse is that because the Palestinians resort to such extremes, people think that their cause must be so noble as to warrant such actions. But as we know, if these terrorist attacks were targeted against any other group in the world, everyone wouldn’t be trying to ‘understand’ the terrorists.
But when the Jews are involved, it is always a different matter.
Hamas sandwich means death cafe is not breaking truce. Israel response is truce breaking.

I have a point to praise too. Note that Tim does not use the inaccurate but common term ‘suicide’ at all. Those involved don’t either, since they know these are quite different from suicides.
Let’s use their own term, and place the evil squarely where it lies.

BTW, Stoop Davy, since I forgot what I did with the keys, a good plan would be to knock out one of the tail lights and yell for help. And Wronwright, shortly after I borrowed your car it began making a funny noise. I pulled into a service station and the mechanic - who really admired your car, incidentally - shook his head sadly and said something about a “head gasket”.

Hmmm. Not bad. I have a problem with “suicide bomber” too. It doesn’t capture the fundamental attack on the whole concept of life itself that these crimes involve. “Homicide bomber” is better but again doesn’t fully cover the sheer anti-human obscenity of the crime, nor does it touch the criminals apart from the bomb carrier.
I have toyed with “zombie murderers”. People who are already dead before being dragged rotting from the grave by depraved cultists to commit one last atrocity against nature.
Is it possible that Olmert will play midwife to the birth of a Philistinian State so that the first act of aggression against Israel will be considered an act of war between nation states?
Israel wins wars like that very quickly and very decisively.
For what it’s worth, this is what I was thinking in 1977 on a train from Jerusalem to Tel Aviv. Fatah had just hijacked a bus on the costal road, machine gunned all the Israeli children on board.
The deadliest attack in Israel since its creation in 1948 and the immediate trigger for the Israeli Operation Litani against PLO bases in Lebanon three days later.

Over 1000 Israelis have been killed since Sep 2000.
Check out the ICT statistics on the conflict
Palestinians:
Total killed = 3179
Non-Combatants killed by Opposite Side = 1099Combatants killed by Opposite Side = 1542
People killed by actions of own side = 406
Israelis:
Total killed = 1010
Non-Combatants killed by Opposite Side = 764The thing that shocks me in this latest attack is that the suicide bomber was a ‘child’. He was 16 years-old. But, then it’s nothing new—Iran (who sponsors the terrorist organisation that provided the child) sent children to clear mines with their feet, and gave other kids plastic keys to unlock the gates of heaven after they were blown apart, in the Iran/Iraq War.
I will never be convinced that Arab culture is anything but totally fucked up.

So now we learn the names of those killed in Tel Aviv this morning. Soon we will hear when and where they will be buried, and we will see photos of their funerals, their families and friends stricken by grief. We will learn how many children they have left, how many grandchildren. We will hear that they were teachers or doctors or truck drivers.
Today’s “nine dead” will join the list of Victims of Palestinian Violence and Terrorism and have their pictures posted in memory at the website of the Israeli Ministry for Foreign Affairs. We will likely never know what happens to the 66 wounded.
ZAKA will clean up every speck of blood and flesh and the falafel stand - or the schwarma joint or whatever it was - will be rebuilt. There will be some despair and little outrage. Like their newly elected prime minister, Israelis are tired, tired of fighting, tired of being courageous, tired of winning, tired of defeating the endless enemy. Jews of the Diaspora who love Eretz Yisrael could make aliyah and bring their sorely needed energy to the Land, but most of us won’t.
The government of Israel will go on making goodwill gestures and concessions, freeing Palestinian prisoners, expelling good Jews from their homes and giving the Jew-free land in bits and pieces to our murderous Arab cousins.
Hardly anyone will mention that Olmert was dead wrong when he said that Sharon’s Disengagement Plan would bring “more security, greater safety, much more prosperity, and a lot of joy… ” And Hamas and Fatah and Islamic Jihad and Hez b’allah will draw even more strength from our tiredness, our uncertainty, our love of life and our humanitarian fair play.
My reasoning about the 72 virgins is that the exploding idiots have two options. The virgins stay that way forever and the idiots just get to ogle in frustration. Their other option is 72 times and the virgins are no longer but turn into nagging and resentful women. So there you go - maybe a brief interlude and then hell.
Hamish: yes, that would be it. Otherwise Arabs and Iranians generally hate each other in fine Old-World fashion.
