A version of the Al Gore Effect is observed locally:

Rainfall across NSW returned to normal last month after one of the driest autumns on record.

The Bureau of Meteorology said the rainfall recorded throughout the state in June matched average levels.

  2. If any one has the chance to see it I highly recommend South Park Series Ten, Episode 6 “Man Bear Pig”. It is the best piss take of Al Gore I have seen, it focuses the world’s biggest spotlight on his every flaw from speech his speech impediment to his lack of recognition in the wider community.

  3. I think Canberra also had one of its coldest June nights last week (-7 degrees celcius).

    If this keeps up, all those soon-to-be homeless polar bears will have somewhere familiar to migrate to.

  5. Don’t rub it in, Tim. If you had Algore in Australia it would be hotter and there would be floods. There would be another Great Extinction. Count yourselves lucky you don’t have to start wearing tinfoil hats to dodge the climatological catastrophy of global warming. Mein planet!

  9. I call Tim Flannery Tim Flummery. My dictionary has ‘agreeable humbug’.  It’s certainly agreeable to his publishers and accountants.

    Adelaide, South Australia, had its lowest June average morning temps. for 108 years.
    This seems to be despite the well-known Urban Warming Effect.
    Maybe caused by approaching icebergs?
