TONY WANTS TROUBLE
Leftist Tony Hartin is inspired by rioting Bangladeshi students:
There is certainly inspiration and the knowledge that no matter how crap things seem, protests and protest movements find a way of spilling out of control. I sincerely hope a similar way is found at the APEC demo.
That way might be easier found now that police horses are out of the game:
All 36 of the state’s police horses have been ruled out for use during APEC after they were quarantined at Redfern’s mounted police complex due to the EI virus outbreak that has devastated the state’s racing industry.
Ball-bearing and marble manufacturers will be devastated.
UPDATE. In other horse-flu news, one horse has died and the Sydney Spring Carnival has been cancelled.
I sincerely hope a similar way is found at the APEC demo.
And if anyone gets hurt, might they expect a note of sympathy from you, Tony?
Asshole.

Cue the police tanks.

On a serious note, a big get well soon to all my equine friends. This is devastating. Next there’ll be ban on meat pies and footy.

Yes “Tony teh tard” it is ever so slightly different you wuckfit.
Why do i have avision of this tard masturbating wildly to his fantasy of a jackbooted HoWARd forcing him to do “naughty” things against his will?Trust me ball bearings and marbles can also be used in other ways. At Curtain IRPC we were being pelted with something that was “starring” our perspex riot shields, we could also see sparks coming off the wire and metal poles.
It was marbles and bearings (provided for the kids to play with) coming from gings made out of metal and tyre rubber. Due to full sized shields and a lot of luck no-one was seroiusly hurt, but they were fing dangerous.
Water cannon should never be aimed AT the protesters, instead aim about 5 meters in front of them. Anything on the ground will come straight back at them at great velocity, in fact Id suggest putting down some pea gravel just for the event.Posted by thefrollickingmole on 2007 08 30 at 04:41 AM • permalink#23 - I’d use a flame thrower on the pricks and then go to McDonald’s, but I’m an arsehole.

Personally, I’d let them run amok and subpoena every single frame of video with a view to custodial sanctions.
As satisfying as it would be to see one or two fuck knuckles left smooth gummed by a carelessly deployed baton, I’d rather they got to spend some quality time with a bloke who’s nick name is “pile-driver”.Some interesting comments by Alexis at Belmont Club:
By the end of the Vietnam War, the Left gained mostly unchallenged control over the street. And with control over the street, the Left gained control over the media agenda and cultural power over the future of America. This power has not been seriously challenged. Yes, there is talk radio. It is talk, not action. Talk radio appeals to a clubhouse mentality, a bunker mentality, against those who control the streets. Talk radio appeals most strongly to those who do not set America’s cultural agenda while having little appeal for those who do.
To this day, the Left controls the streets and can summon demonstrators at will. This power was gained by achieving victory through America’s defeat in the Vietnam War.
Republican victory in elections does not end Leftist control over the streets. Nonviolence is symbolic warfare; it is not merely about voicing opposition to a differing viewpoint but also intimidating opponents from expressing theirs. Unless and until the Left can be challenged with greater numbers of demonstrators than they have, and forcefully gain media attention for a different agenda, the media and the universities and the churches and the schools will continue to sway to the Leftist wind. It hardly matters what you think and it hardly matters whether Leftist arguments make any sense when they control what your children learn in school, on television, and from popular culture.
The only section of the Right with any success in challenging the Left’s control over the streets is the anti-abortion movement. Although it may not sound like a victory to pro-lifers, the anti-abortion movement’s street demonstrations have fought the power of the Left to a draw. That’s not a minor achievement.
It’s worth reading the whole thread, which is about Iraq and the left’s will to withdraw for aesthetic rather than practical reasons.

Jones should be reminded that incitement to violence is a crime. It is the likes of Jones, rather than peaceful protesters, who is a threat to public safety.
Leftist think. Preemptive signal, giving the kiddies free run at starting the violence. Then of course laying the predetermined blame at the feet of the law and the officers.
It is never, the protesters that commit incitement to violence, that is a crime.
As you stated correctly But its Alan Jones’ fault if they are forced into pre-emptive violence.
I agree with Texas Bob, water cannons are for clean up use, only.
This greatly aided the Lefts control of the street and campus and the Lefts control has never been challenged again.
#21, CB,
Dogs will be there in the front line because horses are out of the picture. Marbles and ballbearings don’t work on dogs, they latch on and shake a person down to the ground most effectively. Dogs don’t let go until they’re told to do so by their handlers, which makes for a scary deterrent. Expect the ferals to be armed with hammers, screwdrivers, knives, to counteract the dogs. And what will be the position of PETA, Greenpeace, animal libs in next week’s inevitable fracas?
C’mon, give the guy a break. He’s spent his life in socialist circles at various universities. Now he’s a researcher at Oxford where if students rioted he’d be the first cowering geek hiding under the work bench in his lab. What chance has he ever had?
Then again; if I met him I’d probably kick him in the balls and take his wallet as part of the redistribution of wealth. Fu**ing todger.
He doesn’t seem to go into why there was rioting. It appears that as long as they are rioting, and labelled “students” then all is good.
Posted by Wimpy Canadian on 2007 08 30 at 12:24 PM • permalinkWhy are these students wasting their time rioting when they’re all going to be dead from drowning in a few years?
Scroll up, Wimpy:
The struggle originated with a simple campus football game – some students objected to campus-occupying soldiers being present, and the soldiers assaulted the students

Maybe they should wear something in common for peer identification purposes? I suggest brown shirts—a dress favoured by protesters who spilled out of control in the past, I believe.
