<< FIFTH YEAR BECKONS ~ MAIN ~ KING OF GLORY >>

THERE MAY BE A COMMON ELEMENT HERE

An outbreak of Presbyterianism is put down in Germany:

Three men have been arrested for planning attacks on Frankfurt’s international airport and the U.S. military base in Ramstein, the German Defense Minister said Wednesday.

“There was an imminent threat,” Franz Josef Jung told Germany’s ARD broadcaster. He declined to elaborate.

Two of the suspects had German citizenship while the third was Pakistani, Germany’s Sudwestrundfunk public broadcaster said.

Associated Press helpfully explains the root cause of any planned attack:

Germany, which did not send troops to Iraq, has largely been spared terrorist attacks like the train and subway bombings in Madrid and London - although its involvement in the attempt to stabilize Afghanistan against Islamic insurgents has led to fears it may be targeted.

Go to hell. Meanwhile, just over the border:

Denmark’s intelligence service arrested eight Islamic militants linked to leading al Qaeda figures in anti-terror raids in the Danish capital, according to the head of the agency.

The men, between ages 19 and 29, were suspected of preparing a terror act involving explosives, said Jakob Scharf, the head of Denmark’s PET intelligence service ...

“With the arrests we have prevented a terror attack,” Scharf told reporters at a news conference.

Six of those arrested are Danish citizens. In Canada, accused terrorists face trial thanks to the work of an Islamic informant:

Mubin Shaikh meanwhile has no doubts he did the right thing: “I was born and raised in Toronto,” he said. “How could I let anything happen here?”

Certain of his co-religionists - citizens of the countries they are accused of plotting against - evidently don’t share Mubin’s loyalty.

UPDATE. Also in Germany:

Police in Bremen, Germany, raided an apartment recently not to arrest any terrorists but rather to prevent two of its occupants from being terrorized by another form of barbarism: female genital mutilation. In what has been described as “a first” by a German women’s organization, authorities in the northern, port city were able to intervene and thwart a planned, female circumcision of two girls aged one and four. The infants, taken into state care, were to have undergone the horrifying procedure in their 25-year-old mother’s native country of Gambia at a female circumcision ritual.

Consider this a form of loud denunciation.

  1. At school they told us that the religion and culture were “Islamic” and that the people were “Muslim”.

So it should be “Muslim informant”

  7. The west owes the Arabs nothing. No more immigration=no more relief valve for the madmen that run the joint.
Give refugee status only to gays, Christians and women, let the madness reach its inevitable climax.
Make it known attacks outside their hermetically sealed shitbowl of a region will see Medina leveled.
I have no compassion for people from there anymore, either you are against the despots , or by your silence you are enabling them.
You have no RIGHT to bring your shit to Australia or any other Christian nation.

  9. German nationals. Danish citizens. Yeah, sure. Why do news services try to wrap these bastards in fake identity when everyone knows they’re muslims first, last and forever? As if my grandma who attends mass every day at the Sacred Heart church is just as likely to plant a bomb at the local railway station. Give us a break.

At least Mubin Shaikh seems to have a conscience.

Yes, as long as people do as Hitler, er, I mean, the Islamists demand, everyone will be spared terrorist acts.  It’s the unreasonable refusal to follow the dictates of those morally and religiously superior that causes violent acts to ensue.

  13. #7, thefrollickingmole, did you read my mind?  My thoughts exactly.  What I find amazing is that even with oil at $70 a barrel they still believe that we are “stealing” their oil and yet we found it, we developed it, we built the infrastructure for refining and shipment and in many cases they need foreign workers to run it.

Great answer…BUT the question you should be asking IS..”How could I let anything happen, everywhere OR anywhere for it will lead to the self destruction of everything I believe in”.

When you answer THAT, you will then have left the 7th Century and entered the 21st Century.

  18. #16 Texas Bob,

Which leads us to the issue of arctic oil exploration. Russia is apparently adamant about going in there, to the extent of planting a flag on the sea bottom. Enormous resources.

From memory the algore put a stop to same for the US in Alaska during the clinton years.

There’s heaps of oil and gas outside the ME, up in your north, down in our antipodes. When push comes to shove, the ME will stay in the dark ages and the civilised world will proceed.

  20. You fascisto-crypto nazis don’t get it- those poor boys were on their way to a Rammstein gig, and lost their way.

As to those Danish chaps, it was
globalisation at work, which should make all you liberal free-traders as happy as Phillip Adams at an all you can eat ABC provided buffet (no cruelty-sourced aperetifs, of course, except for the pate de fois gras which is culturally acceptable).

  21. A one-year-old and four-year-old girl to undergo genital circumcision? Dear God. I don’t know which women’s organization was responsible for the raid, but I laud them and hope some others - for instance, NOW - will take the hint. (This link indicates that NOW is at least aware that genital mutilation is going on in Kenya, but they seem to be blissfully unaware that it exists anywhere else.)

  22. All cultures are equal.  It is wrong for the government to interfere with clitoridectomy and infibulation practices.  Everyone knows this makes the effected women less wanton and more pious.  Women don’t need to have orgasms to fulfill their reproductive role anyway.  Once that’s out of the way, men can roll over and fall asleep sooner.

Because of their fortunate escape from this foul practise, their view will not be too “coloured”  by experience.

  30. Yes, Germany must have done something for these people to want to blow things up. Of course. We must find out why. We must dialogue. We must alleviate poverty. We must educate these poor, downtrodden, ill-educated people so that they don’t feel so hard-done by.
It’s not because the west is afflent and lives better than they could ever dream of living…

Mubin Shaikh is a brave man. He may be a Muslim I can trust. Why don’t more speak out? If they don’t speak out, and often, they are complicit.
