THE WEATHER MAKER
Tim Flannery in the March edition of Jetstar’s inflight magazine:
The water problem is so severe for Adelaide that it may run out of water by early 2009.
Subsequently, on March 25:
It actually rained in Adelaide this morning. Hard, wet, continuous rain.
Bonus points for the rain being wet; that’ll make up for it only lasting ten minutes. Flannery’s rain-bringing qualities were first noticed last year when he filled Sydney’s dams.
UPDATE. Tim Flannery Has a Strange Experience.
Noted climachondriac Al Gore likens global warming skeptics to flat-earthers.
You know, I can usually put up with people who are arrogant, but brilliant. And I can put up with people who are modest, but stupid. But I decline to be condescended to by a tapir-faced moron.
There are people in Canada who are trying to russle up a storm of fear about running out of water - in Canada, of all places!!
The Great Lakes are at the lowest levels in decades! Supposedly.
Except, I suspect, this coming Spring, if it ever does get sprung.
One guy even suggested that we have a record amount of snow in Ottawa because it was warmer (not) over the Great Lakes so there was no ice to stop the snow forming!!!
For the record, our big snowstorms this year came up from Texas, and up the Ohio valley.
The illogic, and unsubstantiated claim, of it all. But, hey, he was selling a book of his, so we must LISTEN
Mu question to wankers like these is: “If we are running out of water, where is it all going?”

Strange ExperienceDo write this down
And don’t forget:
The rain that came
Was very wet -
Unlike the rain
That rained before
Global Warming
And Al Gore.
This rain, I’d say,
Rained rather hard;
It left big dents
In my backyard.
It turned the front
Into a lake,
And on it rained
Without a break.As I looked up
The rain came down;
I’m lucky that
I did not drown.
I witnessed it,
That hard, wet rain;
Enough to drive
A man insane.But who is sane
And who is not?
I wonder that,
Myself, a lot;
But I can stand
And proudly say
I made it through
A rainy day.The snow we got last week in the Detroit area evidently put us over the top for a new record. It is now snowing steadily and we expect another 3-5 inches. Plus, March has averaged around 8 degrees colder than normal.

This story proves my well spoken theory of “Arse beats class”. :D
Not to forget the Vic is only half way down the hill, well before you reach the long flat (which is an easy half mile on its own, 802m for the metrically inclined). So the statement “ran the length of Hay Street in Subiaco” is just another good example of why I totally distrust the “journo’s” at the ‘Worst Australian’. Especially the ones who regularly take my money at the poker table.
If you’re reading this, you know who you are. (Bitch!)
