Had to share this…for it may mean our men and women…yours, ours and the rest…could (fingers crossed) be own their way home, starting soon.

“The Iraqi people are looking at this [election day] like an actual holiday.” Not in the sense that it need not be taken seriously, but in the sense of what one Iraqi army soldier said: “This is the first time in my whole life I got to choose the government of my country!”

Sergeant First Class Larry Bull, also with 5th Brigade, agrees.

“I’ve seen more smiles than anytime ever before,” Bull says. “There seems to be an uplift of the spirits of all the individuals we pass from most everyone and all ages. I believe that the Iraqi people are seeing that the impossible might become the possible after the election. The vast majority of the populace seems to appreciate, not only the Iraqi soldiers, but us.”

“I want all the killing and bleeding to stop,” says Iraqi Private Keis (for security reasons, Iraqi soldiers are only permitted to give their rank and first name to members of the media). “I want children to live a happy life.”

“Master Sergeant Barry Kerby, also of the 5th Brigade, may have best summed-up the Iraqis’ enthusiasm and expressive appreciation for the sacrifices made by Americans in that country. “With the exception of a child, freedom is the greatest gift one human being can give another,” he says.

  12. Touching scenes on Sydney TV last night as another socially aware motorcycle gang intervenes to bring peace to troubled Cronulla, reminiscent of earlier scenes from the Maroubra battle zone.Another impressive example of market forces triumphing over minor tribal differences. To see wholesalers, retailers and consumers hugging, embracing and offering guarantees of peace on our beaches no doubt brought a tear to many an eye and best of all, supply of substances will now be resumed. The only cloud on the horizon is that these new police powers enabling random searching of motor vehicles might mean that the cops will want a slice of the action.Still it worked OK in the 70’s didn’t it? So not to worry eh?

  18. So according to Germaine Greer (who I didn’t even know was still alive), the riots are caused by “working class frustrations”.  It’s strange; I saw Tom Brokaw (American blow-dried talking head) being stroked by Jon Stewart (another blow-dried idiot) on The Daily Show today, and he also mentioned “working class attitudes” a couple of times, when discussing the American military.

It’s not that lefties never held ordinary people in contempt.  It’s that they can barely manage to conceal their contempt anymore.

  23. In Sydney’s south-west police have had a molotov cocktail thrown at them, no arrests made over that incident. In Cronulla police searched a unit and found molotov cocktails, arrests made.

A molotov cocktail was thrown at police in “a disturbing incident” at Dickens Road, Ambarvale, south west of Sydney, about 10pm, he said.

“Police conducted a search of the area and located a number of other incendiary devices and what appeared to be stockpiled stones,” Mr Owens said.

Although no arrests were made over that incident, two men, aged 24 and 23, were charged with making explosives with intent ot injure after police found seven molotov cocktails in a Cronulla unit, about 6pm.

Now recall, Cronulla has had hordes of invaders smashing the whole joint up, knives, bats, guns, their own community is under attack, and these guys are charged for taking measures to defend themselves. On the other side we have people using violence against the police and the police let them walk off. This is freaking victimisation they reckon?

  27. Molotov cocktails are not the sort of thing one possesses innocently.  It’s not like they are used for target shooting or varmint hunting.  One can presume that if some jokers were making such things they were up to no good, Skippies or Lebs.

The really screwy thing, as Andrew pointed out, is the failure to arrest whatever lowlife threw a Molotov Cocktail at the pollis.  It’s not like you can lob them from half a klick away; the cops almost surely must have seen who did it.  Not arresting him is a sign of weakness, and if it was a Leb Muslim you are going to see even more brazen stuff from them soon, as in France.  Time to crack some heads, methinks.  “Ere the King’s Crown go down there are crowns to be broke.”

Many of these leaders themselves have been responsible for some of the worst forms of racism in Australia. What do mean? When a Lebanese Muslim girl wants to marry a Pakistani or Bosnian Muslim boy, her parents stop him. A non-Lebanese person cannot become a member of the association responsible for managing Sydney’s main mosque – the Imam Ali ben Abi Taleb Mosque in Lakemba.

What an embarrassment (to Britain that is, we got rid of the rancid old cow years ago) . THE NSW government will sell its 58 per cent share in the Snowy Hydro Electric Scheme through a “mums and dads” float on the Australian Stock Exchange.

    http://avp.acon.org.au/gaygames.htm

“The NSW Police Force is considered a world leader in its approach to working with the lesbian and gay communities. This is achieved, in part, through the Gay and Lesbian Liaison Officers (GLLO) program. GLLOs are police officers specially trained in the social, cultural and historical issues relating to the gay and lesbian communities.”

Heaven forbid that the little darlings in uniform should actually dare to smack around a few Muslim sex crims occasionally. Unless, of course, such smacking was a publicly funded exercise in S&M.

Don’t get me started on her comments regarding the 55 year sentence - you would expect a rabid feminist to applaud such a worthy sentence (me - would happily perform chemical executions all day long for rapists and child molestors). TodayTonight is talking about the latest idea of locking down the beaches.

Apparently police presence, 24 hr surveillance forever in Cronulla, lifesavers patrolling with muslim marshals, and surfers sharing waves to encourage tolerance will help break down barriers.

    For fark’s sake!

Why not just give the police back the power to kick the heads of those disinclined to respect the law of this country?

    /spit

And they reckon this will work? Um, no. Skippy doesn’t want segregated beaches. People are going to get more frustrated with the situation and the pollies will continue ignoring it until it blows up in their faces big time.

It’s not racial tension, it’s that Aussies (be they white, yellow, black or whatever) are sick to death of a certain minority getting away with blue-bloody-murder. 50. The Mayor and Mr Baird have been looking at dividing beaches into areas for sport or for sunbaking or whatever,” MacPherson said.

What about a Muslim beach section with mandatory head coverings for women and a new honour killing picnic bench.

Nada Roude, spokeswoman for the Islamic Council of NSW, said: “It’s just better management. If we can get a grip on what are the factors that have led to these unfortunate events ... then I think we are better able to understand which solutions will bring people to harmony.”

Ms Roude, the factors which have led to these unfortunate events are the aggressive, anti-social and unacceptable activities of the Lebanese Muslims who seem to think it is fine to intimidate and insult women, and intimidate and assault men who are not muslim. What kind of parents bring their children up with this as acceptable social behaviour? Other ‘events’ are the lack of power of police to enforce the law with any kind of security that their actions will be backed up by those higher up in the political dung heap and the judiciary, particularly the retaliatory behaviour of the gangs who trashed cars, shops and people in the beachside suburbs, who gathered en-masse outside the Lakemba Mosque, and those who later attacked Christian churches.

Segregation on the beach. Great. Australia, next apartheid capital of the world.

  55. The events of last Sunday night and last Monday night merely confirmed what many think: that there are elements in the transplanted middle-eastern community who are willing to break the law to a greater degree than those on the “skip” side. The government has responded in a way that enforces some order for the moment, but the ongoing chant of racism still seems to be levelled by many in the media at the relatively ineffective Cro-nulla crowd rather than the blatantly ante-upping lebanongs.
Another illustration of these relativities is the attention now being given to some molotov cocktails and their bart-tenders.
At Refern and Macquarie Fields, policing was pretty much there in a spectator role. Various flammable things were thrown, not just mixed and stored, with no visible baton charges - and certainly not the manic baton attack so well filmed at Cronulla Station.
It was more like a progressive barn-dance.
Now they are trying to look tough on weapons, with road-blocks so thoroughly telegraphed that you would have to be a complete idiot to be caught. Some still are.
How about some searches, such as the cops in Paris have recently completed? There they found not just links to Al-Qaeda in Iraq, but various assault rifles, dynamite and TNT.
Or would that be considered offensive? Even SBS has just run a series detailing the new franchise arrangements for terror. They are local.

  59. OT:

Point of curiousity. Many of these Lebanese types claim to be from Assyrian heritage. They even name their gangs after their conquering forebears: “Assyrian Kings/Lions” and so on.

I note that the Lebanese moderate women whom Blogstrop links to (#57) also claims to be Assyrian in terms of race.

Now, I suppose it’s possible I could be wrong, but aren’t the people of the Levant region descended primarily from the Phoenicians?

While the Assyrians and several other Kingdoms from the region of the fertile crescent (modern Iraq) conquered the area for a time, they did not displace or replace the majority population.

It would seem that several gangs will need to rethink their tribal name and tag formats.

  67. This morning’s ABC news carried a report of a march against racism in Melbourne, numbering between one and two thousand. The group was desribed as a “broad coalition” but in another mention was said to be comprised of environmentalists, socialists and civil libertarians. How broad can you get?
NSW Police are gearing up to prevent groups from driving to the beaches with weapons. I wonder if those are the racist groups?
Andrew Bolt fires another broadside at the corruption of arts grants.
Taxpayers money continues to be used to foster PC Group Think. The end result of this is that while terrorism morphs from international command structure to local recruitment of “blend in” types, that part of the arts/media push who have no proper insight are bleating about restriction of their right to free speech.
The latest revelations about our “Australian” jihadis plotting to kill politicians are fairly damning, while their cold blooded discussion of the slaughter of children should stand as a grim warning to even the thickest of addled-arts teat suckers. And I included highly paid international names under that heading. Being successful at imitating other people for large sums of money is no qualification to pontificate on racism while your society is white-anted by non-assimilating numbskulls and pure evil puppetmasters.

That’s curious, because the present day Assyrians are a Christian minority in Iraq.  I suspect this is just bravado on the part of the gangs, since everybody knows (well used to know, when people were familiar with the Bible) what A-list, mean sons of bitches the Assyrians were in ancient times, at any rate before the Chaldeans and the Medes carved them up.

I really have my doubts about Aussies being racist… but I’m sure that this piece (and many others) prove that Germange is an idiot.
She’s not lived here for 30 years, and I’m pretty sure she doesn’t speak for many Australians at all.

That letter from Nadia on Andrew Bolt’s forum was excellent. This is the attitude the people we I want to come and live in Australia.
