SUPPORT DISSENT

Akram Awad compiles a helpful list of addresses for anyone who’d like to send a note of support to the Hollywood 84. As Akram says: “Together we can make the difference.”

UPDATE. Conspiracy exposed!

Not to mention he’s pretty sexy.

  6. It is amazing that these celebrities signed Kidman’s statement.  Even if it was her box office power that convinced them, they could have weaseled out of it if they wanted to. It took real courage--they are putting their livelihood on the line.  I know people in the business and, believe me, it’s true.

My hat’s off to all of them.

  7. Isn’t it funny - half a dozen Jews bitch about Mel Gibson, and you hear about “the Powerful Jewish Lobby”.

Thousands of pissed off Arabs stalk, email and harrass Nicole and you’ll hear it’s “democracy in action”.

    My letter:
“Dear Nicole - be sure to check under your car before starting it. You have pissed off the wrong group. Try pissing off Jews, it’s much safer, ask Mel”.

  8. If anyone is interested, I put those addresses into an Excel spreadsheet, suitable for doing a mail merge in Word.  You can write up a base letter, merge the addresses into a file with a letter for each person, and then edit each letter as appropriate.  Plus print out mail labels or envelopes.  It’ll save you a little time, but I suggest adding personal touches where you can—form letters do stand out!

Drop me a line, and I’ll send the file to you.

  9. The depressing thing about this list is how many on it seem to be Jews. I’m glad some Hollywood Jews are waking up, of course, but where the Hell are the non-Jews denouncing terrorism against Israel?

I don’t know if Sinise is a true conservative but he is very pro-military.  Numerous trips to Iraq in support of troops.  Appearances at the Hannity “Freedom Concerts”.

Pat Sajak is a true conservative.

Larry Elder is more of a libertarian than conservative.

Don’t know most of the people on the list but there are some on the left that I recognize.

  18. "It’s very important that Europe now steps forward,” UN Deputy Secretary-General Mark Malloch Brown said.

I’m sorry, is he talking about our Europe? The one here on planet Earth (we’re still a planet, aren’t we)?

HEZBOLLAH leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, right, has been named the most popular figure in the Middle East in an Egyptian poll.

Hamas leader Khaled Meshaal took second place and Iran President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad third, said Saadeddin Ibrahim of the Ibn Khaldoun Centre for Development Studies yesterday. Researchers asked about 1200 people from a range of backgrounds in 15 of Egypt’s 26 provinces to rank a list of 30 prominent people in the Middle East including writers, politicians, judges and statesmen.

So, how d’ya think we’re doin’ with the hearts and minds thing?

Ah, one of those independent jihads who didn’t attend the Hizb’Allah School of Media Manipulation.  It is amazing some of the amateur mistakes one can see these days.  That guy up in San Fransisco didn’t even die!  All that murder and mayhem and he wasn’t even martyred.  Tsk, tsk.  The enemy is having a problem with the sudden influx of recruits from the wins its enjoyed lately.  I imagine we’ll continue to see these mistakes.

Problem is, even the professional stuff shouldn’t be working, but is.
